ROCHELLE Do drug dealers issue gift cards if their buyers arent satisfied with the product? Apparently a Rochelle woman thought so when she called the local police to help get her money back after she was unhappy with the crack cocaine she had bought Thursday night. Juanita Marie Jones, 53, of 957 Gordon St. called Rochelle Police late Thursday night after she purchased what she thought was a $20 piece of crack cocaine, she said. She told officers she broke the rock into three pieces and smoked one, only to discover the rock was fake. She told Officer Joel Quinn and Deputy John Shedd of the Wilcox County Sheriffs Office that she wanted them to get her money back. Jones took the officers into her kitchen and showed them the alleged fake rock at which time they arrested her on charges of possession of cocaine. She was taken to the Rochelle Police Department where she is awaiting a bond hearing.
Hey, dfw, you familiar with those apartments at the NE corner of Ledbetter and Lancaster? I had the same call there. Guy complained the dealer gave him chunks of Ivory soap instead of rock and wanted us to do something. I informed him it was pretty much between him and the dealer now. No way was I going to arrest him for possession of Ivory soap, though. I would have been laughed out of the station.
He commented “Well, what goes around comes around.” Later that night a shooting was reported in the complex. We figured he resolved his complaint.
Brilliant!!!!!
Don’t ya’ just hate it when that happens?
I always wondered if drugs were legalized and eventually sold
in pharmacies/grocers ect...What would be the return/exchange policy?
Just your typical Dumba**crat voter.
Clearly a Democrat.

Dang it! Happy endings make me get all teary eyed!
There is a “cops” episode where this happens! It is quite pathetic. The “buyer” gets pissed about the drug and calls law enforcement to bust the seller! Sad.
Thats exactly what I thought too.
Man it just don’t get any better on a Friday night than smoking a 20 dollar chunk of macadamia nut and huffin a little gold paint in yer t-shirt on the corner of Ledbetter and Lancaster !
Not sure of the law regarding the purchaser but if the seller is telling his buyer it’s crack and say it’s just a macademia nut chopped up or powdered sugar etc then the “dealer” can be busted.
Just got back from vacation and having been hanging around the 'puter much. Would of got back to ya sooner
LOL...sounds like a civil problem to me
