Karl Rove, a political adviser to President George W. Bush and a lightning rod for anger among Democrats, will leave the White House at the end of this month, Rove told the Wall Street Journal.
"I just think it's time," Rove said in an interview with the newspaper published on Monday.
"There's always something that can keep you here, and as much as I'd like to be here, I've got to do this for the sake of my family."

According to Fox WH correspondents this morning, the new chief of staff (Josh Bolten) told the staff that anyone staying past September 1 of this year would be expected to remain through the end of the Bush administration on January 20, 2009. There may well be others who leave in the next few weeks also.

Mark Levin talked about it on his show last week. He said the conversation was mainly about Iraq.

Rove is the one that did the arm twisting in congress to support and push the immigration scam. I say good riddance.

Karl Rove ran as a Presidential Elector in TX CD10 for the 2000 election. The 2000 version of CD10 is now split into CD 10(McCaul), 25(Doggett), and 21(Smith). If he is now registered in Ingram, that may still be in the new CD 21(Lamar Smith).

Rove will soon become an “ordinary citizen”. Hope the Dems don’t infringe on his rights in any way.

That's just NOT true. It was Bush who was the genius in his elections...Rove learned from him. Atwater was amazed HOW brilliant W was/is. What is amazing to me is Rove has been given all the credit for Bushs wins.
Lee Atwater stated: Speaking of Bushs ability to grasp the mathematics of a campaign, Atwater said, he was the smartest guy around.

Drop the magnificent, and you’re getting closer to the truth. I have lost all respect for that wing of the Republican party that would sacrifice conservatism for victory, and have no problem making war on the same with as much enthusiasm as I would on liberal democrats. I have no use for liberals or power mongers.
