Karl Rove, a political adviser to President George W. Bush and a lightning rod for anger among Democrats, will leave the White House at the end of this month, Rove told the Wall Street Journal.
"I just think it's time," Rove said in an interview with the newspaper published on Monday.
"There's always something that can keep you here, and as much as I'd like to be here, I've got to do this for the sake of my family."

“Yeah, but how much of that money went toward legal bills in defending himself against Fitzgeralds perjury sham, which ended up snaring Libby?”
I doubt Rove paid for that out of his pocket any more than the Clintons paid for theirs.

Rove, for all his brilliance, is an open borders atheist that mocks the largest block in the GOP. We may be better off without him.

I’m not saying he was a “bad” father, but I don’t think “absentee” would be inaccurate.

You’ve got to be kidding.
Fred hires Rove and he can kiss my butt.

Rove had nothing to do with 2006. I beg to differ. He most certainly did. As did his failure of a boss.

Er, excuse me, but you are preaching to the choir (me at least). I WANT him gone!! So do I. Also, I won't vote for any candidate who seeks out his services. We have to purge anyone involved with amnesty.

Rove leaves Bush and the guessing game begins.
Will Rove really just go home? Or will he join the Thompson campaign? Maybe he’ll join Romney? How about McCain? Or will Rove join up wih the liberal Giuliani?
Inquiring minds want to know. LOL

I think in a polite way, GWB got an earful from the 10 talk show host that visited him last week.Did he really meet with a bunch of talk show hosts? Is there an FR post on it because I couldn't find it doing a search. I know he met with Rush, but I didn't hear about any other meetings.

Not to disagree with your main points about Elian in 2000 and Swiftees in 2004,
but the guy did make things move.
Give him credit for that. He got a huge increase in the number of voters for the 2004 election.
That was a vision and a lot of hard work.
Just trying to be fair. But I don’t disagree with your points.

And of course you have classified information proving what you claim.

According to Rove, he had a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach when he read the bogus exit polls the afternoon of the '04 election.
That should have been a clue that he lost his political mojo falling for that.

I hope not. The magnificent Karl “La Raza” Rove seems out of touch with the American people lately. He may be good at winning elections, but it’s what happens after that which is questionable. If someone does hire him for the campaign, they need to send him straight home to Texas if they win the election.
