Dems hit Sheehan candidacy
A local Democratic Club has criticized the decision by anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan to run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
"If you continue with this threat to embarrass the speaker, it is very possible that the voters will turn against the Democratic leadership in Congress and return the Republicans to the majority," stated a letter written by J. Paton Marshall, corresponding secretary for the Robert F. Kennedy Democratic Club.
"If that happens, all investigations will cease and justice for Bush and Cheney will be impossible," the letter stated.
The club endorsed and then published the letter in its August newsletter, said John Smith, club president.
Sheehan, whose 24-year-old son, Casey, was killed in Iraq in 2004, announced her candidacy Thursday.
"The country is ripe for a change," said Sheehan, who spoke at a podium with her son's photograph attached to it. "It's going to start right here and right now."
Sheehan said she would run on a platform of universal health care. She also wants to make college affordable and improve ethics in the legislative and executive branches.
Smith on Friday compared Sheehan's candidacy and attacks by progressives on other Democrats to a circular firing squad.
"We can't sit here and shoot at ourselves," Smith said. "We are not the obstruction. Even though (Sheehan) wants impeachment, it's not going to happen. It takes two-thirds of the Senate."
Instead of attacking other Democrats, progressives should be attacking Republicans who have blocked efforts to pull American forces out of Iraq, Smith said.
In addition, you can go to your local Democratic congressional member and ask how you can help them, Smith said.
I would have expected her to have Casey’s name tattooed on the sole of her foot, not the ankle.
That’s where she has her tattoo of the U.S. Flag.

Cindy Sheehan won't be in office during the Clinton/Cheney term regardless if she wins. She won't harm their BS "investigation". But she will focus attention that the Democrats are criminalizing politics. And note that this is the "RFK DemoKrats Klub". RFK, he's the dead Kennedy with the namesake son who branded all who deny the myth of Global Warming "traitors" and "enemies of the state". It is certainly fitting.
Sorry to disagree, but that line is not getting old. Every day we’re suffering the results of just a few “my way 100% or I’m staying home” conservatives’ doing exactly that.
President Bush and Cheney are guilty of having a Republican Administration.

So, I said to myself, it is not the Soldiers who gives the ultimate gift to freedom. It is the family who will miss the warrior that gives the ultimate gift to freedom.
All this makes me want to have sympathy for those families, but Dingy Sheehan sure makes it hard for a feller to do that for her.
And I pray for all those who are willing to fall for freedom. They don’t train to fall and they do not fight to fall. Patton also said, “no dumb bastard ever won a war by dieing for his country. You win wars by making the other dumb bastard die for his”. So, our Troops do not fight to lose.
If Demorats support the Troops, then they should be supporting victory too.
Not to mention, wasn’t it Saint Robert Kennedy who authorized illegal wiretaps on Martin Luther King? Somehow you don’t hear much about that.

A local friend, who knew this B$tch before she became infamous says that $indy is looking for a big buyout from Pelo$i’s backers to get her out of the campaign.

The previous Senate (in Republican hands) would have passed the recent amnesty bill with one hand while flipping us the bird with the other. At least on their knees, the Republican Senators know how to fight.
The democrats have created this monster so I’m frankly glad to see this happening. She isn’t going to win but if she can be a major pain in the ass for that lowlife piece of crap Pelosi I’m all for it. I hope it ends for both of them in pain and humiliation.
That reminds me of George Stephanopolis on the phone to H. Ross Perot in the "documentary" The War Room, saying (paraphrase), "Unless you do as I say, you'll never work in Democratic politics again!"
