I turned 42 years old yesterday. There are a few ways of looking at this age. A pessimist, of course, would say that I'm already halfway to 84. On the other hand, there is some significance attached to this age. For example:
I'm twice as much fun as a 21-year-old; I'm young enough to be naughty and old enough to appreciate it. My age also happens to be the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
It isn't so bad. Except maybe when I try to get into/out of my car, chair, bed, etc. and make the same oof! sound my dad made when he was 42. That gets a little irritating. And I have noticed that the women who flirt with me older.
But to a 70- or 80- year-old, I am still a "young man." I'll take it where I can get it.
You’re all youngsters. Enjoy your youth, it’s gone all too quickly...
Some would say that like the answer to the ultimate question, you have written forty-two rather than 42.
The answer and your age can thus be questioned because the ultimate answer might actually be an equation rather than an integer and is really 38 or 40-2.
Just something to ponder in your coming middle age.
When my 21 month old daughter stands or sits, she makes the OOF sound also. I keep wondering where she picked that up. Oh, wait, (oooof) I have to go get the phone.
“and make the same oof! sound my dad”
Time to put the fork down....
Happy Birthday!
Mine was Tues the 7th.
You think that 42 is fun — just wait until you’re 64!
Wealthy and retired is the only way to live.
I’m 52 and haven’t had my Mid-Wife crisis yet..........
I spent a week at Boy Scout camp walking up and down mountains. There are NO flat surfaces at Camp Ottari. It was easier than I thought. 48 felt pretty good.
Yeah, I kept thinking I was middle aged, but then realized that I’m only middle aged now if I live to be 100! :(
susie
DUDE! Those pants weren’t even popular when they were popular!........
I just joined the 40-something crowd officially last month. It would appear that I’m in good company. :-)
Stupid mice...
Hippo Birdy 2 yews, hippo birdy 2 yeeeeews!

Happy Birthday! I turned 48 today. And so did my twin sister! Leo’s rock!
Hey, how come I didn’t get one of those last month....when I turned 60?
If you think it's bad now, wait until your in your sixties.
.....BTW the Forty's were the best years of my life.
I suggest you use it as an excuse to buy your self something extravagant. I bought a Harley right around my 35th and a boat around my 40th. Huhmmm, 50 is not too far off........always wanted a 68 Camaro.....anyway, Happy Birthday Gunner!
I turned 42 in March. On that day I stopped smoking. Stopped drinking. Starting eating right. And started exercising twice a day.
I’m in the best shape of my life and actually wise enough to recognize how blessed I am.
I was born in ‘42 and feel that age.
