Bombing Islamic sites an option: US presidential hopeful-(nuclear attack against US soil "imminent")

WASHINGTON: Republican presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo says the best way he can think of to deter a nuclear terrorist attack on the US is to threaten to retaliate by bombing Islamic holy sites.

The Colorado congressman on Tuesday told about 30 people at a town hall meeting in the state of Iowa that he believes such a terrorist attack could be imminent and that the US needs to hurry up and think of a way to stop it.

“If it is up to me, we are going to explain that an attack on this homeland of that nature would be followed by an attack on the holy sites in Mecca and Medina,” Tancredo said at the Family Table restaurant.

“Because that’s the only thing I can think of that might deter somebody from doing what they otherwise might do,” Tancredo said in comments recorded and posted on the Web site iowapolitics.com.

A Washington-based Islamic civil rights and advocacy group responded in anger on Thursday, calling Tancredo’s statement “unworthy of anyone seeking public office in the United States.” “Perhaps it’s evidence of a long-shot candidate grasping at straws and trying to create some kind of a controversy that might appeal to a niche audience of anti-Muslim bigots,” said Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Dear CAIR,

The truth hurts, doesn’t it?

I don’t CARE what CAIR thinks about anything.

Tancredo is exactly right. Any major attack on our soil - nuclear or otherwise - perpetrated by Islamists should be met with the annihilation of Mecca, Medina, and whatever other sites those cultist freaks consider “holy.”

Hey, Doc Wheeler has said...much the same thing.

"For the phenomenon of Islamofascism as a whole, this must be understood as a pathological frenzy. All such frenzies are unstable. The list of ways to destabilize fragile fanatical minds is long.

Is there a suitcase nuke already secretly buried in Mecca that will vaporize Islam's most sacred shrine if America suffers another 9/11? Who knows? Maybe.

Has an experimental biofuel made with pig fat been secretly added to the world's airline fuel supplies, spreading pig fat molecules in the atmosphere of the Middle East, so impregnating the lungs of Moslem fanatics that the doors of Islamic heaven are shut to them? Maybe. Could be."

I think we should give them an example. Then take a poll. See if they want more.

By far the best way to stop an attack is to go after the terrorists where they have their havens, which is basically the Bush doctrine (although we haven't found a way to effectively get at them in the northwest of Pakistan).

If the Rats either through control of Congress or the Presidency withdraw our efforts to mostly within our own borders, then Tancredo is right in that it will just be a matter of time before a WMD attack here. Neither the Rats nor the Chamber of Commerce Republicans have the desire to control our borders or track dangerous foreigners in the country.

Andrew Wilkow had one of the “CAIR” jihadists on his show today-he absolutely destroyed the guy over the “queeranne in a toilet” at Pace. The guy got po’ed and hung up on Wilkow.

I agree with Tancredo, but Ron Paul might be opposed. Don't want to give them a reason to be mad, you know.

Okay, have I stirred things up a bit?

The only thing the Children of Ishmael understand is brute force. If it’s at all possible for them to “respect” anything, it’s that.

The only question is, does this nation have the testicular fortitude to actually DO that, should something terrible happen to us at the hands of the Mohammedans?

Honestly, I don’t think we do. The 5th Column will see to that.

One our greatest Crusaders against the Cult of Hate and Intolerance is Robert Spencer and CAIR has him in their sights. CAIR is currently trying to put pressure on colleges and universities to revoke his various invitations to speak.
Nobody in our country understands or speaks out against the muslims as much as Robert Spencer.

Yeah, crazy stuff. Your plan to send Al Qaeda a stern letter of rebuke after a U.S. city gets nuked is a much more sensitive and open-minded approach.

Imminent nuclear attack? Yawn.

If moos had nukes, they’d have blown their wad already.

Hmmmmmm perhaps Tancredo is right, it certainly got a reaction. Why the the Islamists be upset were he not right. They would simply say that it wouldn’t work.

That is how Pershing handled these extremists in WW1. He executed the group, one by one, and made sure they watched as the bullets were dipped in pigs blood. If I remember correctly he poured it over them after they died as well, but not sure bout that. (I have the story on my PC somewhere)

I think that threatening to obliterate Muslim holy sites is the stupidest thing I ever heard. What would all 2 billion Muslims do, then? Convert to Hinduism, knit, watch TV?

It certainly would not make them back down and offer an olive branch.

Think back a couple thousand years- Rome was tired of a particular religious rabble rouser, and they handled it by torturing him to death in public. His followers scattered and continued to preach their messiah’s words, and eventually Rome officially converted to this new religion.

Nuking the K’abbah would be an event of Biblical proportions; one that would never ever be forgotten, and it would become the central point of focus for a billion people who were not polarized before the event.

Don’t forget, the holiest thing in the K’abbah is a piece of fused sand (from a meteor strike). It’s not very big. A 20 MT groundpounder would make a huge area of fused sand- tens of thousands of times bigger than the piece that’s there now. That’s big enough that every mosque in the world could have one- Trinitite on a wholesale level.

Ishmael

"Behold, you are with child, and shall bear a son; you shall call his name Ishmael; because The Lord has given heed to your affliction. He shall be a wild ass of a man, his hand against every man and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen." (Genesis 16:11-12 RSV).
