Regarding Bill O'Reilly's attacks on FR: The best defense is a good offense
Vanity

Hey, Bill!

You've got a tough job up there in the clouds riding herd over the folks. Apparently you're having problems with the folks speaking out against the America hating left. But that's ok. Just keep your eyes closed, ears plugged and your jaws flapping. Eventually the folks will tune you out and we'll all be better off for it.

FReepers:

We're taking flak so we know we're over the target. Fire at will! Fire for effect!

There was a time when I used to watch O’Really and enjoyed his show. Then the morphine wore off...........

Same here only I wasn't on morphine. Yea, he blew it when he compared us to KOS so I have absolutely no qualms whatsoever in switching to the SciFi channel for the 8 - 9 p.m. slot..........

FWIW, I got a kick out of him a while back trying to hawk his anti-French bumperstickers saying they were free when in reality, you had to buy some of his crap in order to get the free bumpersticker.....LOL!

No, I didn't buy any of his crap.........

"I will watch O’Reilly for the next few shows. If there is no apology to FR I will never watch his show again."

I doubt that O'Reilly will ever apologize or point out that his researchers took the postings that he highlighted on air out of context. I think that all FR will get is when Kristinn remained calm, collected and dignified in the face of his diatribe. I think O'Reilly was ready for a yelling match and when he could not provoke one, admitted that the DailyKos was worse.

He has lost me as a viewer! My wife will like that!

Bill is a bloviating @ss. I never watch him or listen to his radio show, not for a very long time.

He's a self-impressed blowhard bluenose.

Life is too short to pay any attention to Bill O'Reilly.

O’Reilly is just making the same mistake a lot of (bad) journalists make- relying on what he has heard about FR and not his own research.

...that and the fact that he has become too enamored with himself. What a fool!

Darn, forgot that, and that he thought Kerry was a patriot, and amnesty was a good thing. What else are we missing?

Bill O'Unruly is basically a very insecure person.

Since his ratings and ego mark him as a Top Gun, he has to keep looking over his shoulder to see if someone is catching up with him......or perhaps close to overtaking him.

This keeps him in a well-masked but continual nervous state manifested by his trying to be "fair and balanced" and trying to be (at the least) admired by all sides of the political spectrum.

I'm happy I don't have to live in the superheated atmosphere he lives in with his TV show, his radio show, his books, his articles, etc.

He should slow down the pace of his life and not try to pretend he's a genius on each hot story in the news. He just can't be knowledgeable enough on everything......and many times it shows.

A more laid-back and less interruptive O'Reilly would be a blessing.

BTW, on his radio show today he was babbling about how he "immediately" (yeah, sure) deletes all evil comments posted by kooks on his website.

Of course, FR is not granted that same luxury by him even though it does likewise.

I will watch O’Reilly for the next few shows. If there is no apology to FR I will never watch his show again. Neither will my husband.

That was my feeling exactly. But I did send him an e-mail, expressing my disgust with his attack on FR and sent a duplicate to FoxNews. I would like to see him get 100,000 e-mails. That might give him pause. It will be difficult for him to apologize, due to the amount of stock and his own self, that he put in the “information” gleaned from FR.

Touchy, touchy!

Liar, liar. You're the one spouting off publicly on a topic you (manifestly) know nothing about, not me.

If you want to defend MM, go right ahead.

"Defend" her against what, specifically...?

O’REILLY: What do you mean, if we find them?

TAYLOR: If we find them. We —

O’REILLY: This is what I don’t understand. I found them, and it wasn’t hard. And I went back and we did a trace just on me and some of the stuff that has been posted about me on your website, and it’s just unbelievable. But when you say, “if we find them,” shouldn’t there be somebody there supervising this website?

***This is a pure lie, plain and simple. Notice that it’s all about what’s being posted about HIM.

It's not honest to cite examples on the right and left. Of course there are examples, it's a big internet. Could be FR has the worst example. Proves nothing. Look at a thousand random posts here and there and see what you find.

Absolute numbers and percentages are used interchangeably by liars all over the place these days. Why not? It seems to always work.

end rants

That’s about all except Freepers have to remember one thing, Bill O’Reilly is extremely thin skinned. Keep hitting him in his thin skin and I’d still like to know how much he wrote that check to his producer for and what was it for (the female producer that left his show).

first, love your tagline, would it be armchair sitting?

second, MM is like the only guest host when BOR is away, this doesn’t (please mother of God himself) seem like a stance she would condone

just a question about a hometown girl here in south jersey.

thanks

Wow, this is a complicated mess O'reilly created and I'm not one bit surprised he did so. He has always been a careless demagogue pretending to determine what is moral and right for "the folks". He is very McCain-like in his efforts to appeal to both right and left.

I am truly shocked when he goes after someone on a mild sex issue and assumes the mantle of simple homespun traditionalist, because yes, I believe that he is a rowdy himself and it was covered up so his number one show can keep making money.

He really back-tracked a lot after his opening unfair shots. By then the damage was done. FR has never tolerated posts along the lines of racial hatred, that was so unfair.

No, Billy Boy, I have NO trouble believing it.
Oh, and I notice you didn’t say it was “untrue.”

Hello,

I happened to hear him today, and was surprised to hear him state that he had recently taken his staff to task because there were posts on his website that were inappropriate and posters that were trying to make him look bad.

Hmmm.....
