FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

HINT & TIPS Welcome to another installment of the FReeper Canteen Hints & Tips. Hopefully, youll find something here that youve never heard before. If you have tried one of these hints, please share your thoughts on it. Tonight, well do some general household hints.
*** Metal cookie cutters double up nicely as unique napkin holders for special dinners. If you want, spray paint them to match the decor.
*** Remove adhesive from stickers on glass by rubbing vegetable oil with a soft cloth or paper towel, then wash. *** Pan size is measured from the top, not the bottom.
*** Put used steel wool scrubbing pads in a plastic bag and store in the freezer to help prevent rust.
*** Trouble putting the lid on a plastic container? Run the lid under hot water for 20-30 seconds and it will close easily. *** Glass tabletops will sparkle if you rub gently with lemon juice or with vinegar, then dry with paper towels and polished with newspapers. (All hints found on websites. Management makes no claims to the effectiveness of any hints) Join us again next week for more hints.

Well, I’d rather have 55º than 84º any day. At least we have the lower humidity for now. We had 90% humidity last Monday morning when I went walking, and I got so dehydrated in 2 1/2 miles.

If my motorhome drove at the speed of sound, I’d be at Kathy’s now, invite or no invite.

I’d get in the lake, but the water is still murky from all the rain we had the past two months. There was an article in the paper about the gulf having a “dead zone” at the mouths of the rivers, where all the oxygen was gone from the pollutants. All the fish have gone into deeper waters.

So far, we are having a cooler than normal summer this year. Normally, we would have had some triple digit days. Not so this year, but that is fine with me.

Hint when playing the old Microsoft game “Close Combat”:
When planning to do a frontal assault, have the howitzers lay ground smoke, then lay a rolling barrage of HE rounds in front and leap frog your units.
Also, never use your Allied sniper to take out a tank.

Best thing is to stand next to an air conditioner.
And if that doesn’t work, shower with your clothes on.

Indoors today and tomorrow, by the sounds of local weather forecasters.
The air isn’t visible yet, however, so it’s not dangerous.
I am pretty glued to the bridge collapse coverage.
Trying to relate, one of the things that came to mind is would I even remember getting out of my car?

That is one reason I am glad to have an office job. The AC is nice.
I just don't think I'd like to be outside working in this heat.
It's bad enough having to do lawn work on weekends, but I do the jobs I wouldn't let illegals do for me. ☺☺

I can’t take that kind of heat...
Plenty to do in here anywho!
I get the “willys” everytime I go over the huge bridge into Portsmouth, NH.
If THAT one ever let go, there’d be no need to worry about getting out of the car..
It would be all over but the crying.

Now it's 11:30am and we are supposed to be getting rain...tap, tap, tap. It's kinda toasty for you. Don't forget mosquito repellant, and most houses don't have air conditioning (maybe new housing does). Come on up! Oh....if you need dark to sleep, bring your sleep mask.
