I taped a segment on the O'Reilly Factor for airing tonight to defend Free Republic against charges that it is a hate site. The segment will air in the 'D block' around 8:35 p.m. EDT and rerun at 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. EDT.
Rather than tell how it went, I'll leave it for folks to watch and decide for themselves. I hope I did right by FR.
We'll be having company tonight as some of Bill O'Reilly's two million-plus viewers check out FR for themselves. So please bear that in mind as you comment tonight. The Daily Kos is waging a very nasty personal campaign of retribution against O'Reilly. No sense in us piling on. Let's use this as an opportunity to show people why FR is the best conservative site on the web.

Are you kidding, O’Reilly doesn’t care about anything but ratings. He thrives on controversy and we are giving him the attention that he craves. He bashed Hillary constantly when she was running for the Senate, now he wants her to be a guest on his show, so he kisses up to Lanny Davis and bashed FreeRepublic.
Just exactly like he sucked up and kissed butt of the Kerry campaign while they danced him for an interview with Kerry that never happened. And that was the real reason that he attacked the SwiftBoat Vets - to suck up to Kerry who never intended to appear on Fox, knowing the reception he'd get from the Democrats if he did, but was only too happy to have Mr. "O" fight his enemies for him while he used and snickered at the fool behind his back.
Seriously, can you get him to apologize?

I want to see those comments, in full context. Free Republic is not a place to hold hands and sing cumbyeya. You don't have to be gentle or speak well of those you abhor or what you abhor. There are limits here, but they will NEVER be set by the likes of Bill O'Reilly.
Yes, some posters opused or “begged” to be banned, but I watched when many were attacked and then blindly banned for daring to disagree with JR.

I’m very disappointed in O’Reilly, doesn’t he realize that the left is very dangerous with people like Hillary leading them. How could he put down this site? I think it is so wrong, he is so misguided. He really didn’t have to do that to seem fair and balanced. O’Reilly has lost it, now I am wondering if he ever had it.
