I taped a segment on the O'Reilly Factor for airing tonight to defend Free Republic against charges that it is a hate site. The segment will air in the 'D block' around 8:35 p.m. EDT and rerun at 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. EDT.
Rather than tell how it went, I'll leave it for folks to watch and decide for themselves. I hope I did right by FR.
We'll be having company tonight as some of Bill O'Reilly's two million-plus viewers check out FR for themselves. So please bear that in mind as you comment tonight. The Daily Kos is waging a very nasty personal campaign of retribution against O'Reilly. No sense in us piling on. Let's use this as an opportunity to show people why FR is the best conservative site on the web.

FNC’s board can’t hold a candle to us in terms of volume. No way! O’Reilly is “bloviating” again.

O’Really(?) ticked me off a long time ago with how he’d invite FReepers on and talk over them in the minimal time he gave them...I believe TrueBlackMan was one of them. But, he does that to almost all his guests. I bet he has one of those alarm clocks that play recordings so he can wake up to the sound of his own voice.

I’m very disappointed in O’Reilly, doesn’t he realize that the left is very dangerous with people like Hillary leading them. How could he put down this site? I think it is so wrong, he is so misguided. He really didn’t have to do that to seem fair and balanced. O’Reilly has lost it, now I am wondering if he ever had it. Although I must admit, it seems this last few years he is not as interesting as he used to be, could it be that he had it and then lost it?
I’ll make sure to watch it.

I caught onto this man a couple of years ago, haven’t watched, or listen to him since.
He is so full of himself and, to me it is so obvious. Why haven’t conservative’s turned this man off before now just simply amazes me.

Saw the segment, Kristinn. As always, you did a good job of representing FR. I wish Bill would have given you more time to talk. Thanks for all you do!
I also hope Bill’s ‘people’ check out FR and see the many, many good things Freepers (often led by you, Kristinn!) do for our military. Most Freepers are honest, patriotic people who will stand firm for what they believe and they do so without being hateful.

And if every post was previewed in advance it would really limit the conversations. And for what? I think O’Reilly should be careful what he wishes for, because he is helping to legitimize the radical left, and if this happens, he will be answering to President Hillary, and I am sure she agrees with him about Freerepublic, she would work to silence the kind of people who like to post here. That’s not a comforting thought.
