Newswise Researchers have found that men who drink an average of four to seven glasses of red wine per week are only 52% as likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer as those who do not drink red wine, reports the June 2007 issue of Harvard Mens Health Watch. In addition, red wine appears particularly protective against advanced or aggressive cancers.
Researchers in Seattle collected information about many factors that might influence the risk of prostate cancer in men between ages 40 and 64, including alcohol consumption. At first the results for alcohol consumption seemed similar to the findings of many earlier studies: There was no relationship between overall consumption and risk. But the scientists went one step further by evaluating each type of alcoholic beverage independently. Here the news was surprisingwine drinking was linked to a reduced risk of prostate cancer. And when white wine was compared with red, red had the most benefit. Even low amounts seemed to help, and for every additional glass of red wine per week, the relative risk declined by 6%.
Why red wine? Doctors dont know. But much of the speculation focuses on chemicalsincluding various flavonoids and resveratrolmissing from other alcoholic beverages. These components have antioxidant properties, and some appear to counterbalance androgens, the male hormones that stimulate the prostate.
Many doctors are reluctant to recommend drinking alcohol for health, fearing that their patients might assume that if a little alcohol is good, a lot might be better. The Harvard Mens Health Watch notes that men who enjoy alcohol and can drink in moderation and responsibly may benefit from a lower risk of heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and cardiac death.
Article said Ariel was non alcoholic.
Other studies have touted that the alcohol was an important component.
What is PSA?
Not as much as "Saw Palmetto"(Herb) does..
That's a good sign.
It's when you hear the snap of latex and see bare hands that you worry. ;)
Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug! Wait....you don’t chug that....either way I’ll be downin’ bottles of it, lol!

8 oz. of pomegranite juice every evening.
I'm getting thirsty, but it is only 10:27 am... well it is 12:00 pm somewhere ;-)
Your liver will look like Swiss Cheese, but your prostate will be healthy.
“It’s when you hear the snap of latex and see bare hands that you worry. ;)”
LOL
Men aren’t the only ones who worry about that sound.
Which end do you put it in?
Reminds me of one episode of that short-lived Andrew Dice Clay tv show....that happened and he yelled, "Puh-leeze! Tell me you're gettin' ready to do the dishes!"

It’s very easy and inexpensive to brew your own.
With a little practice you can get the exact taste that you like.
Save your prostate, blow out your liver.
Researchers certainly do know.
It’s resveratrol.
But, IMHO, it would be better to make sure you get enough zinc and magnesium in your diet, especially the zinc.
Highest concentration of zinc in the male body is the prostate and testes.
The liver is a remarkable organ. While you CAN get liver diseases, if you don’t, the liver as an organ basically never ages.
I think it was about $12 from my local Costco. Red meat, red wine, capitalism, democracy, freedom, truth and justice, the American way.
