"Liberal activists are stepping up their campaign against Fox News Channel by pressuring advertisers not to patronize the network.
MoveOn.org, the Campaign for America's Future and liberal blogs like DailyKos.com are asking thousands of supporters to monitor who is advertising on the network. Once a database is gathered, an organized phone-calling campaign will begin, said Jim Gilliam, vice president of media strategy for Brave New Films, a company that has made anti-Fox videos.
The groups have successfully pressured Democratic presidential candidates not to appear at any debate sponsored by Fox, and are also trying to get Home Depot Inc. to stop advertising there."

Is a counter-response required for this, or will their efforts just fizzle out you think?

They’re screwing with the NASCAR network. Home Depot is one of the biggest sponsors of NASCAR and Foxnews, is by far the largest and best cable news network. The hateful far left is killing the Democrat party. Good!

What a despicable bunch of people. "MoveOn's nationwide network of more than 1,700,000 online activists is one of the most effective and responsive outlets for democratic participation available today."

I have said it before on a couple of other threads ... I think Fox News should go ahead with their planned democRAT debate. Issue the invitations and advertise it heavily! And when the time comes for the debate put it on, even if not one RAT shows up. Have a hall full of people with Hume, Wallace and Groler asking questions. Give each candidate a one min. response time. Then as each question is asked pan the empty stage and the empty podiums for "one min."
I would watch!

Unfortunatly FNC has too many closet leftists which leak their bias into FNC reporting.
This sounds like the FL OJ or Snapple boycotts. both those efforts resulted in record sales.

Americans will not stop their lives in the middle of the road just because
a group of rocky mountain oysters are banging on a cow bell.
Keep it up.

I’m off to Home Depot to buy something I may need in the future.

And these are the idiots who favor the Fairness Doctrine? BTW, have they watched FNC lately? I’m sick of the liberals always spouting their mouths off on the network. Also, Home Depot should not worry - I know my way around my local Home Depot store than any liberal girly man does. A Daily Kos reader’s idea of home improvement is watching as someone else does it. Ruined manicures, ya know?

It won’t do any good. A boycott can only work when a group of people STOP purchasing goods and services. Something tells me that most libs don’t shop at Home Depot that often to begin with.
