Paula Zahn has resigned from CNN. Zahn hosted CNN's 8pm ET program, Paula Zahn Now.
The departure comes just one day after Campbell Brown signed on with CNN. TVNewser joined a conference call around this time yesterday, in which CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein introduced Brown as his network's newest on-air hire. Klein promised an announcement about Brown's primetime program would be made "over the next several days."
Zahn joined CNN in 2001. Her first day on the air was September 11, co-anchoring coverage of the 9/11 attacks with another new hire at the time, Aaron Brown. Later that fall, Zahn began hosting American Morning. From 1999-2001 Zahn anchored a primetime show on Fox News Channel called "The Edge."
Most DUmmies can't see much of anything on the computer screen because of the crayon scribble....
About the only thing I recall Howie saying was that her publicist sucked for allowing Boston Magazine to run a cover photo of her with her then somewhat large nose in an unflattering head shot.
Other than that, he repeated her story of going to speech school to learn how to pronounce certain words with a Texas dialect to be accepted in the Houston (Dallas?) market.
Poor Paula...has a jumping complex...
First - she jumped from Fox to CNN —— bad move!
Then - she jumped from her husband’s bed into another married man’s bed -— bad move!
Husband found out -— Marriage of 20+ years and 3 children busted..
Currently separated from Job and Husband....
Good looks does NOT equal Good sense or good morales.
Thank you. Rules are rules.
that proves the rule
Campbell? Pretty??? Proving once again that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
I was laid off from a job on 911. When I got home early, the family was more interested in what was happening on the TV. So was I.
Just my two cents, but what a lot of folks don’t realize (or think about) is that they are ALL sluts. By that I mean not just the on air talent, but the suits as well. By slut I do not mean a slut in the truest sense of the word (sleeping around), but rather they are all willing to do anything, with anyone, anytime...to get ratings.
So going back to Fox makes sense if it makes cents.
Nope...too skinny.
For a moment I thought they meant Aaron Brown. Do not want to hear his painfully nasal voice ever again. Campbell Brown - is that a man or a woman?
Her legs are like sticks now. I think she has anorexia.
Paula replaces Cutie couric.....you heard it here first...........................
Campbell Brown:
Wife of Dan Senor.
Host of cocktail party in honor of Valerie and Joe Plame/Wilson.
boids a’da featha........
How do you know all this stuff about a news anchor? (Who’s married to whom, and for how many years?)
Her legs will be missed, but not her politics.
Wonder where she’s going? To replace Rosie???
A bad start. She’s already lying about why she’s leaving NBC, and where she’s going.
Paula Zahn
TV Newscaster
Born: 24 February 1956
Birthplace: Omaha, Nebraska
Best known as: CNN news host and former host of CBS This Morning
Paula Zahn used a cello scholarship to get a degree in journalism from Stephens College in Missouri, and from there it was into the TV news business. After working her way through the ranks of local stations, and then serving a three-year stint at ABC News, she became a co-anchor for CBS This Morning. She held that post from 1990 to 1996, and also co-hosted the network’s coverage of the Winter Olympics in 1992 and again in 1994. In 1999 Zahn joined the Fox Network and became host of the news program The Edge. On 5 September 2001 she was fired by Fox News, which accused her of breaching her contract; the next day she signed with rival news network CNN.
Extra credit: In 1992 Zahn made her Carnegie Hall debut, playing cello with the New York Pops orchestra
Actually, Campbell Brown may have made a very smart move. I’ve been predicting that after the ‘08 elections, network evening newscasts will cease airing. There will be many, many correspondents searching for work. Brown got out in front of the upcoming line.
As I recall, her dad spent time in jail.
