Paula Zahn has resigned from CNN. Zahn hosted CNN's 8pm ET program, Paula Zahn Now.
The departure comes just one day after Campbell Brown signed on with CNN. TVNewser joined a conference call around this time yesterday, in which CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein introduced Brown as his network's newest on-air hire. Klein promised an announcement about Brown's primetime program would be made "over the next several days."
Zahn joined CNN in 2001. Her first day on the air was September 11, co-anchoring coverage of the 9/11 attacks with another new hire at the time, Aaron Brown. Later that fall, Zahn began hosting American Morning. From 1999-2001 Zahn anchored a primetime show on Fox News Channel called "The Edge."
I think Campbell’s dad was a Dim congressmen someplace. I do think she is a big DIM. Dan was sucked in by her looks and $$$$. Shame Dan Shame!
again??
I have always wanted to put my post in large lettering like yours. Could you tell me how you do it?
Campbell Brown (born June 14, 1968, Ferriday, Louisiana), is an American television news personality and former co-anchor of Weekend Today.
She was born Alma Dale Campbell Brown to former Louisiana Democratic state senator, secretary of state, and insurance commissioner James H. "Jim" Brown, Jr., and Brown's first wife, Dale Campbell Fairbanks. Before Weekend Today, she was the White House correspondent for NBC News.
Brown graduated from Regis University in Denver, Colorado with a B.A. in Political Science/International Relations. After graduation, she spent a year teaching English in the former Czechoslovakia.
On April 2, 2006, she married Daniel Samuel Senor (born 1971), a Republican consultant who regularly appears on Fox News.
On June 24, 2007, Brown announced on Weekend Today that she and her husband are expecting their first child.
On July 22, 2007, Brown announced on Weekend Today that she was leaving NBC News.
She began her career in local news reporting for KSNT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Topeka, Kansas, and then for WWBT-TV, the NBC affiliate in Richmond, Virginia, and also reported for WBAL-TV in Baltimore, Maryland, and WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. Brown joined NBC News in 1996; her first story was Bill Clinton's impeachment trial. She was later assigned to The Pentagon and covered the war in Kosovo.
During the Presidential campaign, she covered George W. Bush as well as the Republican National Convention and Republican primary.
She eventually became the primary substitute anchor for Brian Williams on NBC Nightly News. In March 2006, she was named as one of five women who might replace Katie Couric when she would leave The Today Show, but the vacancy was filled by Meredith Vieira.
She announced July 22, 2007 on Weekend Today that she would be leaving NBC News after 11 years to devote time to her family and expected baby. She also said she would not be leaving television but would talk about that at a later date. The television media blog TVNewser has confirmed that she will be moving to CNN, though the details have not yet been released.
I was kidding. I guess I just don’t find her all that attractive.
IIRC, Christiana's husband is Jamie Rubin.
Butterfaced
My elderly female advice to Paula Zonka:
Go home, become a volunteer in your community and never apologize for “just” baking cookies !!!
Skin and bones. Though a former work colleague knew Paula at college and said she was a nice person.
IMO Paula's classic TV moment was back on Fox, fending off a deluge of crass and demented double entendre and sexual innuendo from a leering and smirking Trent Lott.
It was a car wreck of a show, just about the most repellent thing imaginable but hard to stop watching. The leering Trent, with Paula doing her herkey-jerky "If I could stop obsessing about my looks I'd be a better interviewer" routine.
Wife of Dan Senor.
Host of cocktail party in honor of Valerie and Joe Plame/Wilson.
Egads. This is just one more piece of evidence that any political division in the MSM/Political Complex is about as real as your typical pro wrestling feud.
Nauseating.
She married an illegal?
Well! She is through! She was wise to resign. Her contract would not be renewed.
I liked her work during the 1992 Olympics
Adios, Paula, enjoy your fast trip down to talking head purgatory.
Our wakeup call re Paula came on during Fox’s coverage of election night in Nov 2000.
Paula and the backstabbing Billy Crytalballess never missed a chance to stab GW and other republicans and to set up the Floriduh attempted coup.
My wife had never seen her before that sad night, and my wife called her a hate filled liberal in less than an hour as the results started coming in.
Is Paula on Fox now? I’ve not watched the news recently.
With a lot of help from the knife and Revlong. LOL. But then, that describes all of them.
I swear, one of Fox News reporters looks all of 17 years old.
DOB: 24 February 1956
Dang, she's almost 3 years older than me....
Wouldn't have thunk it....
Christina Amanpour, the description was attributed to Lucy Goldberg of Lcom fame as I recall.
It describes her exactly.
Amanpour was given that deserved nickname by the Andrea Peyser of the New York Post after 9/11. Amanpour wasn't too happy about it and whined to Rupert Murdock to have Peyser apologize for the comment. Peyser didn't.
That is enough to make me gag every time I see her face.
