Paula Zahn has resigned from CNN. Zahn hosted CNN's 8pm ET program, Paula Zahn Now.
The departure comes just one day after Campbell Brown signed on with CNN. TVNewser joined a conference call around this time yesterday, in which CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein introduced Brown as his network's newest on-air hire. Klein promised an announcement about Brown's primetime program would be made "over the next several days."
Zahn joined CNN in 2001. Her first day on the air was September 11, co-anchoring coverage of the 9/11 attacks with another new hire at the time, Aaron Brown. Later that fall, Zahn began hosting American Morning. From 1999-2001 Zahn anchored a primetime show on Fox News Channel called "The Edge."
I’d be happy to take a “snooze” with Campbell Brown anytime - but Zahn is a better cellist. :-)

Actually, Hannity went national on 9/10/2001. Why I remember that, I don’t know.
Ms. Zahn has bounced around quite a bit in her time. In fact, I think she worked for one of those sleaze shows, like Inside Edition or something.
Maybe she can join Bloomberg Report. I don’t think she’s been there yet. :)
I was in the audience for one of her Town Hall meetings in Ohio in 2004. She was blatantly liberal and favored Kerry in all respects. All the token Rebublicans felt insulted and used by Zahn. We were to have equal time and it was a joke. She even filled the front row “not committed” chairs with Kerry people. We almost walked out. I wish we would have walked out during the filming to show our disgust.

CNN’s eye candy has become long in the tooth.
Maybe Rupert Murdoch will lure Ms. Zahn back to Fox to co-host a program with Laurie Dhue.
Yeah, I doubt that Zahn could go back to Fox. They sued her when they caught her negotiating with CNN while still under Fox News contract. The suit was thrown out, so in effect, she won. They would look bad taking her back.
If you call working for a organzation that routinely gets its butt kicked by Fox ‘a win’.
And now she’s out of a job entirely, for the moment, and can’t go back to either entity.

Who’s kid is Campbell Brown? Whenever you see somebody with that little talent becoming that big a success (think Anderson Cooper), inevitably they are somebody-who-is-somebody’s kid.
That is about the only thing that gets between her knees.
