We’re sorry, we didn’t think you guys were still around.

Yeh, same here. At least it will be on XM radio. I know a guy who lives in Dallas and is making the trip. I’m very jealous.
I have Sirius, so no dice for me.
“How much carbon consumed by these idiot events?”
There was one band at the London show saying they felt guilty because just the lights and power to the stage would be equivilent to the energy consumption of 10 houses for a year.
Actually, I thought Brooks retired. Maybe he retires like some ballplayers do — they quit for a year, then come back. :)
I thought some parts of it was going to be on Sirius. I’d have to check though.
Its on Sirius also.
Wait a minute.....that should have read “some parts of it WERE” not “was.”
Sorry...product of a public school education. :)

I don’t suppose they feel guilty enough to skip the event though.....
I think he said he wanted to retire from touring and new records until his youngest daughter turned 18. His album Scarecrow came out in 2001, and I think the only things he’s done since then was a boxed set collection for Walmart, a tribute song to Chris LeDoux, and a duet single with Trisha.
I don’t think his sound can’t compete with today’s country, though. Sales from Scarecrow were disappointing, and there were only a few singles released from it.

I’ve always thought Garth was overhyped....and well this proves my point. Tubby and Chubby headlining.....YUCK!
Garth & Trisha? Darn, I thought I liked them.
I guess I missed Mr. Brooks’ recent accomplishments — didn’t hear that Scarecrow album at all. Thanks for updating me.
I do like him...and Ms. Yearwood too for that matter. But I guess we can’t change the artists’ politics. Oh well.
OH, thank God we moved from Tulsa. My teenagers would put me in the freezer and steal the car to go to that!
Metallica? At one time we had all their releases up until “Load”. I would never waste the money to replace the stuff that grew legs after they started suing people for downloading their music.
Yeah. He’s always been a lefty. Remember his Superbowl video with two guys kissing?
He never could sing worth a darn, either. At least Trisha Yearwood could sing.
