What you’re referring to is they natural by-product of sin, which God allows to occur - because this world is fallen and cursed. That these things are allowed to happen does not mean God approves of them.

I agree with this post. My point is that God allows these things, he doesn't pull everyone's strings like a puppet master and make them do certain things. He can guide them in a direction by means of Holy Spirit, but does not force anyone to do anything.

Punishment for sin would be unjust to the extreme if God made us do the sin in the first place.

Braggerts be damned ...

When the time comes, 999 out of 1000 people will take the Mark. So, this means basically you will too, despite all of your bravado talk. Even John told Jesus he would stick with him and never abandon him on the very night that he did actually abandon him. And this after seeing him work miracles, and hearing his teaching first hand, and witnessing the transformation. What chance stand you?

But, we’re still now all tracked....daily, if you don’t just use cash....which is being phased out.

Gak, so true about the cash. And here we have cameras at every intersection. Even though they supposedly aren't hooked up yet, it creeps me out. Another way to get used to Big Brother. In this case, it's the libbies on the City Council who demanded we get them for "our safety."

I remember when this company came out in 1999 or 2000. Their name was ‘Digital Angel’. I guess the 65% Christians in this company didn’t like the name. What would you do if you couldn’t buy food or pay your mortage without this chip? Of course it would very easy to single you out at a store, train station, airline bank etc. An alarm would probably go off when someone without a chip tried to enter. Why would our once God fearing country do such a thing? I dunno, why would they not seal the border after 911 and instead, let a few greedy profiteers hire illegals at the expense and danger to every honest American?

I also wanted to make this point:

>>It warms my heart that God is the one who directs the suicide bombings, the criminals, thugs, immoral people of the world to do what they do.<<

Would it startle you to realize that those people you reference - their sins are no greater or worse than yours or mine in God’s eyes?

There are two types of people - the saved and the lost. The lost are the suicide bombers, as well as your Uncle Ted who doesn’t profess to be a believer. The lost are everyone outside of Christ. The lost are at constant enmity with God, and the only reason Uncle Ted isn’t a suicide bomber is because of God’s common grace that restrains his sinful nature.

You’re trying to view this as “good vs. bad” from your own perspective; rather than saved vs. heathen from a scriptural perspective.

i heard these women talk...the nooses are all simply being placed right now and....snap....someday they will be tightened when the time is right.

the amazingly intrusive things that are being done with this technology is incredible — all in the name of business.

Well, to be fair, many many episodes of TNG were horrible!

I always found that moment of realization on the part of Picard “METAPHOR!” so unintentionally hilarious.

In fact, much of TNG is unintentionally hilarious.

But He created us, knowing what we will do, didn’t He? Wouldn’t that mean we have to do it? Otherwise, He would be wrong.

But did God create us TO pursue that particular path, or did God create us, and being outside of time, simply see what the end result is, and thus know what happens?

I don't see why God would bother creating people just to watch us do nothing but what he planned. Children do that and are entertained, I wouldn't think God would be that...dull?

I cried at the end of the last TNG episode when they were playing poker. (true story)

Yes, the UK is in really bad Big Brother shape, in my opinion and from the sounds of it. That for-your-safety billboard/poster one person posted was scary.

I groaned at the end of ‘Enterprise’ with Riker’s cameo.

And Peter did not have the Holy Spirit indwelling him at the time.

Christians now do.
