Duncan Hunter: Welcome to Free Republic ("Virtual Press Conference" to be held with Freepers)

Posted on 07/03/2007 11:25:59 AM PDT by Ultra Sonic 007

You heard right.

Freeper "pissant" has been in a discussion recently with Sam Hunter, Duncan Hunter's youngest son and a Freeper with the username "Duncan Hunter Ambassador". He was, for a short time, answering questions on behalf of Freepers for a month or so earlier this year until work at the main campaign office became supremely hectic (also, since Hunter's other son returned to active duty, his workload was shifted to Sam).

However, in lieu of the Weekly Answers Thread, Sam Hunter and pissant have managed to arrange something fantastic, with the support of the Jimrob.

In a couple of weeks, a "virtual press conference" will be held here on Free Republic. Before then, Freepers will be able to ask questions for Duncan Hunter to answer. Hunter will answer 15 questions and will relay the answers to Sam or pissant. This will be before the virtual press conference.

pissant will announce the date of the press conference a few days in advance. On the day of the press conference, the 15 questions and Hunter's answers will be posted in a brand new thread.

Here's the best part: Duncan Hunter will remain anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes to chat and converse with Freepers, answering any additional questions they might have. The full details of the press conference are still in the works, but they'll gel together over the next several days.

Any follow-up questions that aren't answered will be answered by Sam in the following days/weeks. They will posted in the same thread as the virtual press conference.

Let's make sure to give them a warm welcome for taking the time to come here and talk with We The People!

Hunter is listed second from the bottom.

So scratch that question.

I really like this web site too: http://fairtaxscorecard.com/index.phtml

The Fair Tax:

♦ Allows you to keep your entire pay check
♦ Untaxes the poor with a rebate on the necessities of life
♦ Makes sure everyone pays their fair share
♦ Protects Social Security and Medicare
♦ Stimulates investment, economic growth, and job creation

The Fair Tax is Fair: It treats all People, Products, and Services the Same.
The Fair Tax is Simple: NO Individual Tax Filings and NO Loopholes.
The Fair Tax is Transparent: NO more Embedded or Hidden Taxes.

Well, THANK YOU.

I would hope it would be JAPAN, but I suspect it would the the U.K. But that's OK! :-) Just as long as he is elected President!!!!

I think the Lincoln-Douglas debates kind of put him on the map, no? He lost the race but got the respect, and persisted as a voice of principled oppostion until the Presidential election came around.

You were a bit scorching there.

Why I want Duncan Hunter to be my president:

1) STRONGLY pro-life - a 26 year pro-life history NO FLIP FLOP HERE;

2) the only politican that was EFFECTIVE on building a fence at a strategic place on our borders (which made crime go down tremendously in San Diego), and author of the bill to build an 854 mile fence which was signed into law;

3) knows his defense: AMONG OTHER THINGS was Chairman of the Armed Services Committee when the Republicans had the majority, fought hard for the missle defense shield, and personally, won a medal in Viet Nam & his son did two tours in Iraq, including Fallujah, and will do a 3rd tour in Afghanistan (so he has a lot a stake);

4) understands the Red China threat and China’s trade imbalance through cheating;

5) voted for traditional marriage between a man and a woman through HJ Res 88

6) A+ rating from the National Rifle Association;

7) 100% rating from the Eagle Forum.

(8) 92% rating from the American Conservative Union;

(9)100% from the Concerned Women for America;

(10) 100% from the Christian Coalition;

(11) 100% from the Campaign for Working Families.

Dear Congressman Hunter,

Thank you for your military service and career in Congress. Because I am a fiscal conservative, could you please tell us how you voted on the following bills (throughout your career): Farm Bill(s) - including subsidies, Highway Bill(s), and the recent Medicare Prescription act. What amendments or alternatives have you introduced over your career to pare these down?

Under President Bush, federal spending grew sizably. What did you do to oppose this?

What is the one thing you would most like to do as president to reduce our national debt and the tax burden it threatens to place on subsequent generations?

Were I given the opportunity, I would also ask these questions of Fred Thompson and Ron Paul.

Duncan Hunter:

National Security--Peace through strength in the Reagan tradition.  Loves and supports the military.

Immigration and Border Security--Recognizes national sovereignty.
Border security is national security.  Immigration must be regulated--laws must be obeyed. Will build "The Fence".  Will support the Border Patrol and other such agencies.  Will free Ramos and Compean.

Pro-Life--Uncompromisingly defends the life of the unborn, without rhetorical games.  Will only appoint judges who are pro-life.

2nd Amendment--Right to keep and bear arms for all Americans.  Army Ranger, Viet Nam combat veteran, a hunter, knows what Hoppe's #9 is.

Fair Trade--Does not worship commerce which imperils our national security or our economic security.  Believes in protecting American jobs.

My Only Question Is When Do the Polls Open

So I Can Cast My Vote For Duncan Hunter?

Question for Duncan Hunter: What’s everything that all conservative politicians and all conservative candidates for all political offices at every level truly need to do to successfully defeat the “leftist” politicians in the Democratic Party as well as in the Republican Party (RINOS) during the ‘08 elections and beyond, and how will Duncan Hunter also successfully create some very decent “political coattails” which will help all of the other truly conservative candidates who are also running for a variety of political offices at every political level in ‘08 and beyond?

I would like to see some good, informative TV spots in prime time featuring our candidate before too long. They are horrendously expensive, so money is really needed to get Rep. Hunter out before the electorate via TV.

For those who would like to see that happen, please make your generous checks out to: Hunter for President
And send them to:

9340 Fuerte Dr. Suite 302, La Mesa, CA 91941-4164

Checks are preferred because credit cards slice 5% off the top, so the candidate doesn’t get your full donation.

However, if you prefer, you may donate through:

Thank you very much!
