NANCY'S NOT HAPPY
Break out the tissue box, folks. You're Speaker of the House is sad. Why you ask? Well for starters ... she doesn't think that she has the power to impeach George W. Bush.

Isn't that just so sad? On a conference call with bloggers last Friday, Pelosi made a comment about impeaching the President. The blogger asked whether or not it was worth sticking up for the Constitution. Nancy's response, "Well, yeah, the Constitution is worth it if you can succeed."

Hopefully the Constitution will outlast the aging hollow-eyed hippie from Haight-Ashbury.

But how is Nancy's leadership of the House going so far? Let's see how she's doing so far. so far. The amnesty bill – failure (for her and others who wanted to grant amnesty to millions of criminals). A plan for Iraq – non-existent. Stem cell research – vetoed. Shall we continue?
It seems as though she is starting to get frustrated. "I'm not happy with Congress," says Nancy.

And who does she blame ... I mean, we are talking Washington so there has to be someone to blame ... Republicans. Yep, conservatives are to blame for the ineffectiveness of Congress. It can't get anything done, just blame Republicans.

But then, you just wait. The moment there is one "success" in the Congress, it will be all thanks to the Democrats. If they didn't gain control in 2006, none of this would have happened. Where are your evil Republicans then, Nancy?

She doesn't think she has the power to inpeach President Bush?

In fact, SHE is the one who should be impeached for sticking her nose into foreign affairs, and playing footsies with our sworn enemies -- that is treason, in the truest sensse of the word.

An official serving in one of the very highest offices in our government cozying up to those Iranian scumbags. If that isn't giving to the enemy, I don't know what is.

You are right.

But nothing will be done about it. Pelosi and Murtha could go to Iran and hold a banner pronouncing Death to America and still nothing would be done about it.

They could press Iran’s nuke button personally and still, the wacky hippy base would praise their every move.

It isn’t Republicans’ fault. It’s talk radio’s fault.

It’s all the fault of Republicans since she only got Hoyer as her sidekick and not her personal preference and enforcer Murtaugh.

They’ve so ingrained that “Republicans’ fault” mantra into their heads that now that they’re in power they don’t know how to switch out of it.

Nancy's response, "Well, yeah, the Constitution is worth it if you can succeed."

One need not read any farther than this sentence to know exactly where Ms. Pelosi is coming from.....

Nancy's response, "Well, yeah, the Constitution is worth it if you can succeed."

That is a sound byte she may regret in the future.

Yes, that’s a better idea. She needs to be impeached. I am not sure that these Congress Critters understand how badly the American people want them to go.

I want them to impeach Cheney so he can preside over his own trial in the Senate.

“You’re Speaker of the House is sad.”

Is this “Your Speaker of the House...” or “You are Speaker of the House...?”

That would be the Chief Justice....

No, it wouldn’t. That’s what makes it so funny.
The Constitution stipulates the Chief Justice preside over a president’s trial. It is silent regarding the VP, whose job is supposed to be a backup whose responsibilites are too trivial to be impeached for anything.

The presiding officer of a VP impeachment will be as the Constitution has it for all except the president. And that’s the president of the Senate, which is you-know-who.

OK, the Const. does provide for the CJ as presiding when POTUS is tried. But how can the Veep possibly preside over his own trial?

I don’t know, but them’s the rules. The dems calling for Cheney’s impeachment might have a big surprise...
