Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff is blasting the U.S. Senate for failing to pass an immigration bill, and claims the federal government doesn't have the ability to enforce laws when it comes to illegals working in America.
"We're going to continue to enforce the law. It's going to be tough," Michael Chertoff said. "We don't really have the ability to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that's truly effective."

You know, we are going to continue to watch this Federal Government avoid it's sworn responsibility to secure and protect our borders until we are completely over run with tens of millions entering illegally until we soon reach a point where our electoral process is completely undermined and compromised with millions of socialist voting illegal aliens change the course and direction of this country forever.

“Hes a liar.”
Actually, I don’t think your statement is quite sufficient. Perhaps “He’s a lying pile of dog ***” would better express it.

How about if we just start by heavily taxing all the $ these illegals wire to Mexico, then? That would help a bit.
Oh, and also pass a law to end the anchor baby problem.
To: captjanaway
Put the IRS in charge of it. Somehow they manage to find who they’re looking for.

Michael Chertoff said. "We don't really have the ability to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that's truly effective." Duh. The American people kind of realized that last year when we had a few million Mexican Nationals parading and demanding citizenship on our city streets. The problem is that DC no longer has the ability nor the will to govern. All we hear is excuses. DC is making itself irrelevant to the future of the American People. If they lack the ability to enforce illegal work laws, then effectively closing the border should become priority number one.

"See #12...has nothing to do with funds." Your evocation of Elian Gonzales is BS. The thing lacking is not funds nor the "bad image" you propose, but simple unwillingness to enforce existing laws.

This clown was just on with Chris Wallace on FOX News. I was screaming at the TV. He is - I’m sorry - full of baloney! I could not believe the nonsense he was spewing and expecting us to believe it.

I'm sorry but I wasn't the one that brought Elian into the thread.
Nevertheless it's a perfect illustration of what the DNC would be showing 24/7 all around the country....the big bad GOP rounding people up out of their beds.
That will happen on what planet?

“I’d extend that to include Lady J’s suggestion that we should punish employers who cheat. They should be arrested and sentenced to work alongside the arrested illegals in building the wall.”
I’m fine with that, but I still like the idea of making them walk back to the border.
There are some here, it would seem, who think the better alternative is just to keep kissing their butts.

Amen! For a moment there I thought it was “We’ve Already Lost”, Reid instead of Chertoff.

OPERATION BODY COUNT is a project of the FIRE Coalition that represents the casualties of unbridled migration. Illegal aliens are responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans every year, and the numbers keep going up. Elected officials are accountable to "we the people" for not upholding their oath of office, and will be counted. The globalists, open-border, anti-American sovereignty lobby and the elected officials they own will also be counted. Women and children are murdered by illegal aliens at a rate higher than that in the "war on terror." Children are molested at a rate of 8 per day by illegal alien invaders.
Ask your elected officials how many more women and children will have to die at the hands of illegal aliens. Ask them how they can possibly talk about immigration reform before they secure our border. Ask them where in the Constitution it says that the profit margin of big business is more important than the lives of American women and children. The President and Congress have a primary obligation to secure our borders as per their oath of office to uphold the Constitution. http://www.firecoalition.com/obc/

“If an array of thousands choose to exercise their Constitutional right to remain silent and are deported, why should they not be able to sue? “
You only have a Constitutional right to refrain from self-incrimination. If you are otherwise innocent of any crime, you have no constitutional right to refuse to identify yourself to lawfully appointed officers of the government.
I would not object, however, if my tax dollars were used to flog people who attempted to bring such a lawsuit.
