Chertoff: We can't really enforce laws on illegals
World Net Daily ^ | 7/1/07 | World Net Daily

Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff is blasting the U.S. Senate for failing to pass an immigration bill, and claims the federal government doesn't have the ability to enforce laws when it comes to illegals working in America.

"We're going to continue to enforce the law. It's going to be tough," Michael Chertoff said. "We don't really have the ability to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that's truly effective."

The answer is simple: 1. Punish employers of illegals! Jobs vanish. Illegals get hungry and swim the Rio Grande again. 2. Build and maintain a fence.....to the moon if necessary! 3. Stop giving citizenship to babies born to illegal mothers in the US. Voila!

We may pay higher prices for some products but our tax burden would be much lighter!

Obese lazy politicians may have to raise their own children and mow their own yards......the exercise will make them healthier.

This is disheartening isn’t it? We know that middle eastern males are learning spanish and sneaking across the borders with the illegals. Logic says that Chertoff is saying in essence: “We helpless to secure the borders and enforce the laws against illegals and the terrorists who sneak in with them.”

liars, cause people to wind up dead when his office wields as much power as his office does. He is charge with the protection of the citizens of the United States, and enforcement of this nation's laws. He can't do it?

I'm sorry, I must have cotton in my brain. 'We' cannot enforce our current laws, but the new immigration law would have been enforceable? Am I the only one scratching my head over this?

If Chertoff really believes this, he should resign and let someone else enforce the law.

He knows better and he should step down if he intends to make excuses that we can't get there from here.

This is America. We not only built a spece program from nothing, we put people on the moon. We have freed millions of people enslaved under communism. We have fed more people starving from floods, wars, tsunamis, and earthquakes. We never said, "Sorry no can do". That would be un-American. Get it, Mister Chertoff?

Get cracking or get out of that chair.

Have you noticed after the American people spoke and the Senate quashed amnesty there; our government is doing noting or saying anything about illegal immigration and when they do it’s a roadblock?

We need to keep their feet to the fire. I have already made contact with my senators and House to let them know they are not finished; only beginning to fix this problem with illegal immigration.

"We don't really have the ability to enforce the law with respect to illegal work in this country in a way that's truly effective."

Then this pupating aphid is part of a government that no longer has any legitimate claim to power. If they can't enforce the law, they have no right to exist. The people are on their own now. Of course they do have the ability to enforce any law. They just won't. That make them even less legitimate. Instead of being merely weak and incompetent, they are deliberately acting as an enemy of the people.

Do you seriously think the voters need to see video of a Republican administration arresting and deporting Hispanics in the middle of the night?

Enforce the frick'n law! Or, get the hell out.

Comment:

I have posted over and over that Chertoff needs to go.

He is in my opinion nothing more than a Step And Fetch-it person in over their head.

He seems arrogant and aloof with out much knowledge of what is supposed to be doing, another words a buffoon in a very sensitive job.

Instead of doing what he is paid to do Chertoff spends a great deal of time trying to piss off citizens with his inane remarks of bigotry, ignorance and racism.

Some people organize and others just getter done.

How do you prove someone is an illegal? You demand documents from him? He stands silently. Suppose this is done to you. You stand silently and get deported. Do you then sue?

Would you have the query performed only on Hispanic looking people?

If not, and you are asked to produce documents, would you do so? Would that not be an intrusion on your privacy? If an array of thousands choose to exercise their Constitutional right to remain silent and are deported, why should they not be able to sue? Are you prepared to pay the award from taxes?

What exactly is supposed to be the methodology for “if they are here illegally, get them out”?

When we ask them to ‘enforce the law’, there is an acting as though the people are the enemy and the enemy is what is appearing to be our own government as the enemy is my enemy too. Who are these people and what did they do with my leadership? Did I cross over into the ‘twilight zone’?
