You have asked a hypothetical that will not happen.

Your decision to not answer my question is noted. I will try one more time before moving on to someone interested in actual debate.

Lets say FRed gets the GOP nomination while promising to nominate conservative SC justices - ones likely to overturn the abomination that is RvW. Who do you vote for - the Beast, FRed, or third party?

My points in the above post remain equally relevant in this very non-hypothetical possibility. Again, what say you?

That really is none of your business. Are you always so rude and demanding? Or is it a lifestyle problem.

If the GOP ends up with a true pro-life candidate, I will vote for him/her.

If the GOP doesn’t have a pro-lifer, I will vote for whatever independent pro-life candidate is on the ballot. If there are several independent pro-lifers, then I will vote for the one who shares my views on the other issues.

Another pro-life Republican. If the candidate’s not pro-life, I won’t vote for him or her.

But the election of Hillary secures the very thing that everyone on this post opposes--abortion rights. The fate of more than the unborn is at stake.

The insidious growth of Islam throughout the western world and the toehold of Sharia law in the US are more immediate than the possibility of changing the availability of abortion.

With a war where the lives of 200,000 of our troops are at stake throughout the world, with the entrenchment of liberals on the courts for the next 50+ years, with the incremental institutionalization of socialism via public education and Hillary-care, how can someone with a conscious do anything that in any way supports another Clinton presidency?

Detractors consistently hope to lump Pro-life into a list with other issues. We find ourselves digging that out of the list and shouting, it is not one of a list, it is CORE!

I beware of any who relegate and devalue this Core value to a list.

A problem I have with polls such as these is that the polls indicate what people SAY they believe or would do, not what they ACTUALLY believe or would do. All polls have this flaw, and the reporting ignores this important point. The headline here suggests that a percentage of GOP voters won’t vote for Giuliani (I have not chosen a candidate to support, by the way, and I am pro-life.) What the poll finds is that this is what the those polled SAY they will or won’t do. I would prefer a pro-life candidate, and I certainly hope one is available in the 2008 presidential election, but even if the GOP candidate is not as pro-life as I would prefer, I will vote for him, as I cannot stomach the idea of electing Hillary without at least having done what I can do to defeat her. I am sure that there are some GOP voters who will sit out the election if there isn’t a pro-life candidate, but that they say so more than a year out from the election is hardly reliable.

I understand what you are saying, but I also realize that if polls were completely unreliable there wouldn’t any. 35% is a HUGE portion of the GOP, so even if the poll is totally flawed there are enough Republican voters who would not vote for a pro-abortion candidate to make him unelectable.

There has NEVER been a presidential candidate who was more single issue than Rooty Toot (William Henry Harrison might equal him, but he at least had views consistent with his party).

I agree that the polls are not COMPLETELY unreliable, but what they reflect is what people say they believe and what they say they will do. Notice how poll results change over time. This poll says 35% won’t vote for a non pro-life candidate in 2008. The numbers will almost certainly change, in one direction or another, as more polls are taken between now and the election. Then, when the election takes place we see what the “truth” is. Unfortunately, there is very little analysis of poll accuracy following elections, because polling companies downplay it, and the media love to report poll results (selectively, of course).

Considering Fred has a 100% pro-life voting record, a 100% score from the National Right to Life, and a 0% score from NARAL, that is a no brainer.

Rooty Toot has plenty of core values, they are the same core values (pro-death, anti-Second Amendment, pro-homosexual marriage, pro-illegal alien, etc.) that all of the other liberal candidates have.

As a result, about 80 percent of Republican voters want all abortions to be illegal or abortions to be legal in a rare handful of cases.

If Republicans won’t put their own political careers on the line to defend our most defenseless our unborn children and the disabled — like our fine soldiers do every day in Iraq and Afghanistan, then they are not worth voting for.

We are living in a Culture of Death. They must fight as hard as Hillary does to be President to return this country to a Culture of Life.
