McCain is being capped in the center of the party by Giuliani, who no question is the favorite of the moderate and liberal elements of the party, Fabrizio said. On the right, McCain is getting huge competition from [former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt] Romney, Thompson
and Giuliani.
Hes not finding a home in either place.

Don't be turned off by the title. Though I have been saying that there are many diffrent forms of Conservatives. I thought the part about Mccain was good. He does not fit in any where. There is a lot of good information here that reminds us not to be to quick in defining what a conservative or a Republican.

McCain isn’t in the “center” of anything.

IMHO, it is not possible to be a Conservative and be in favor of universal government run or funded health care.

Did you look who sponsored this poll?
Any poll that shows more the 55% of Americans agreeing on anything should be treated with suspicion.
Any poll that shows more then 55% of Americans agreeing on something that ALSO happens to validate the political positions of the groups sponsoring the poll should be treated with contempt.

Yeah, and “many Republicans” also favor amnesty! :-)

We are at the point where we view all polls with a large grain of salt.

IMHO, it is not possible to be a Conservative and be in favor of universal government run or funded health care. Absolutely true. But the article title said Republicans, not conservatives. .....and as we know all too well there's often a huge difference between to two. Way too often.

The same polls that show republicans favor Rudi Giuliani?
Yeah, sure, I believe it.

Fabrizio said. On the right, McCain is getting huge competition from Mr Fabrizio is short of a few bricks. Getting your butt kicked is not huge competition.

“Poll shows many Republicans favor universal healthcare, gays in military”
That says it all—and it’s likely largely true...
It simply means that the time has come to flush the GOP altogether! That simple.
Should it have been necessary to threaten, cajole, and go through all this recent bs just to let our reps (so-called) know how the people who voted for them felt about things—hell no! they should have known of themselves—but of course if they hadn’t come to feel threatened, they’d have gone w/the herd and collected their rewards and to hell w/the people.
No, time to stop beating a dead horse.

Any poll that shows more the 55% of Americans agreeing on anything should be treated with suspicion. My most recent poll shows 100% against universal health care and gays in the military. It's obviously correct because it also showed 100% against the comprehensive immigration POS bill and it failed. These other polls are polling conservatives no matter what they say.

A poll question they should’ve asked but never will:
Q: Are you a registered Democrat who votes Democrat and you’re pretending to be a Republican for the purpose of this poll?

IMHO, it is not possible to be a Conservative and be in favor of universal government run or funded health care.I agree. Or to favor homosexuals in the military. How about just having the men and women all bunk and shower together? Have we no brains?
