INTERNAL MEMO OF THE MARION COUNTY, OREGON SHERIFF'S OFFICE
As most already know, MCSO Deputy Kelly Freidenberg, 33 yrs, died in an on-duty traffic crash at 2335 hrs., Sat, 6/ 16/07, on Hwy 99E near St. Louis Rd, (south of Woodburn).
Dep. Freidenberg was responding code-3 to cover a Gervais Officer. While responding, Dep. Freidenberg was travelling south on Hwy 99E, south of Woodburn. As approaching on-coming traffic yeilded to the right, another northbound vehicle suddenly swerved around the yeilding vehicles, crossing the center line, going into Dep. Freidenberg's lane.
Dep. Freidenberg's patrol car was struck head-on by the northbound vehicle. The impact area was near the right shoulder of the highway of Dep. Freidenberg's lane.
After impact, Dep. Freidenberg's patrol went into the ditch, then rolled several times and came to rest on the drivers side.
On the arrival of the first Officers, (from Woodburn PD), a fire had started in the engine compartment of Dep. Freidenberg's patrol car. Three Officers and a civilian tried to pull Dep. Freidenberg out of the patrol car but could not due to Dep. Freidenberg being pinned in. The responding Officers used their fire extinguishers in an attempt to put the engine fire out, but could not. The fire continued spreading and engulfed the vehicle.
On the arrival of Fire Dept units, the fire was extinguished. Dep. Freidenberg died at the scene.
In the second vehicle were the driver and two passengers. The driver was taken to OSHU in Portland, one passenger died at the scene and the second passenger left the scene and went to Salem Hospital. OSP is investigating the crash.
Dep. Freidenberg had been a MCSO Deputy for nearly two years and prior to that worked at Polk Co. S.O. for six years.

There was also an initial cover up by the state police on the legal status and even the names of the perps.
I guess Teddy will be adding drivers ed to the bill so those illegal Americans will stop killing us.
AMEN!
Here is the letter I wrote to the President:
May 31, 2007
The President The White House Washington DC 20005 Dear Mr. President:
Having been involved in immigration issues for more than thirty years, I feel compelled to tell you the story of why I came to the conclusion I have reached regarding this issue.
I was born in the State of Ohio in 1946 shortly after my father returned from World War II. The family moved to Burbank, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, and settled into the good life in the San Fernando Valley. The children grew up color-blind and without any prejudices as far as I know. We were permitted to play with the black children who lived down the street until they moved away after some bigot burned a cross on the lawn of their house. My family was outraged that such a thing would happen.
Later, I joined the Los Angeles Police Department. While employed there, I was tasked with publishing the Special Order that stated Alien status in itself is not a matter for police action. The order was published in 1978, and what followed was a virtual tidal wave of undocumented (illegal) aliens. For you see, the order was code for a policy established by the well-known and liberal Steven Reinhardt, (now 9th circuit court justice) who as you must be aware is married to Ramona Ripston, the head of the ACLU in southern California.
Previously, officers in law enforcement agencies across the states bordering Mexico acted as de facto border patrol agents, catching undocumented aliens and turning them over to the Immigration & Naturalization Service. This practice had the practical effect of suppressing the numbers of illegal border-crossers.
Since 1978, the problem has become a nightmare for law enforcement. Lawful arrests of aliens are frequently not prosecuted, murder, rape, robberies and other violent crimes as well as property crimes have ballooned, well, you know
So, now we are faced with a genuine crisis that can only be ignored at the risk of our sovereignty and we have a senate bill that offers a virtual amnesty if not an articulated one. The security of our borders cannot be delayed, or explained in terms of Well get to it as soon as we get this registration part done.
You have accused us, your base of losing its great capacity to absorb newcomers Mr. President, weve absorbed more than 12 million new comers whose first act was to violate our laws and sovereignty and dont want to assimilate!
We are not hate-filled bigots; we are the people who believe in the Rule of Law. We are the people who pay our taxes, go to church, work hard, vote, and just want those people who come to America to do the same. Is that too much to ask?
Sincerely,
May God continue to bless you and your mission.
Great letter. I hope someone is reading them. I’m on a 3:3:3 schedule: 3 faxes, 3 phone calls, 3 letters, per day — at least until this fiasco is over.
Sometimes, seatbelts don’t help.
Yep!
A horrible way to die, and it seems (making the assumption he was driving one) too many have been in Crown Vics, burning to death in otherwise survivable crashes.
It seems to me engine fluids wouldn’t be enough to light up a car so quickly after a frontal crash, but perhaps a fuel pump that should have shut off didn’t.
Hopefully the right people will inspect this car and find the cause of the fire, so designs can be improved and other lives can be saved.
Might I suggest a letter to OSP with a cc to the paper to see if that angle is covered?
