Comments by Republican senators on Thursday suggested that they were feeling the heat from conservative critics of the bill, who object to provisions offering legal status. The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”

As an American citizen, I am greatly disappointed in your comments in which you said, “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.” You have to “deal with the problem???” Sounds like Soviet era rhetoric, in my opinion. In fact, it seems more and more to conservatives like myself, that it is senators like you, Sen. Lott, that are the problem. We can read the immigration reform bill. Talk radio hosts can and have read the bill. I’d likely bet that some of them know more of what is in the bill than you do, Sen. Lott. It seems like there are a majority of senators that are tone deaf to what Americans are saying, with you being right near the top of the list.
I would urge you to do an about-face on this amnesty bill, and vote against it. Try to convince all the other Republicans to likewise vote against it. To pass this sham of a bill is to bring about the decline, if not the outright destruction of the party of Ronald Reagan. If it passes, I can assure you that I, and many, many other Republicans, will not give another dime to the RNC or to any politician who supported ramming this devastating piece of legislation down our throats.
Do the right thing. Build the fence. ALL of the fence.

He cites: Ashley Montagu (p22) “speaking to a group of educators declared that, ‘The American family structure produces mentally ill children.’6 From his perspective, the traditional family that teaches things as loyalty to God and to country is not producing children mentally fit for the global world of the twenty-first century.
(p23) “Not only do globalists oppose the traditional family, [Shrillery’s push for younger and younger compulsary kindgergarten should leap immediately to mind—Qx] but they also believe that the Christian church and a sense of national identity are contrary to their vision.”
“Globalists feel that the Christian church threatens their global program because of its belief in the authority of the Bible. Most other religious systems (as well as liberal Christianity) pose little threat. The Internet and Talk Radio are the “front porches” of the 21st century. If the politicians are that worried then that just proves there is something completely unwholesome about this whole mess. You don’t become this worried about talk unless there is something to it, IMHO.
Legislators who are doing their jobs — enforcing and protecting the Constitution — have nothing to fear from people talking. That Lott is this upset just proves to me that we are really on to something here... I am reminded of the phrase — you only get flak when you are over the target.
