Comments by Republican senators on Thursday suggested that they were feeling the heat from conservative critics of the bill, who object to provisions offering legal status. The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.

Worth repeating:
“Well, I’ve got an election coming up in 2000. After that we can have good government.”
Senator Trent Lott (aka Chester the Cheerleader) in conversation to Senator Tom Coburn - “Breach of Trust”, page 19.

Let me remind Republican party shills, yes Sean Hannity, I’m talking to you, that comments like this one, by Lott, are the reason he lost his chairmanship. Not because the media trashed him at an opportune moment, but because conservatives saw an opportunity to rid themselves of a traitor.

Trent Lott is in the same position as John McInsaine is in Arizona. The Arizona Republican Party is have their misgivings about McInsaine. Arizona Republican Party Chairman Randy Pullen denounced McCain and Kyl for backing the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill. Meanwhile, Rep. Russell Pearce, RMesa, called for Sen. John McCain, RAriz. to resign, citing he was too busy running for president to represent his constituents as hes been absent from voting on numerous items.

I still wonder if McChurian wasn’t wholesale brainwashed in true McChurian fashion in his POW camp.
Or else . . . his corrupt family background was so embedded with the globalists for so many decades, they had a ready slot waiting for him.

Great perspective. I think you hit the nail on the head, “The New World Order” describes this exactly.
Bush, Lott and others of the same ilk think we are to stupid to understand what good things they have in store for us and so are just going to ram it down our throats like that over sized pill being fed to electorate in that political cartoon that’s been floating around.
My hope is that Bush jumped the gun prematurely without the electorate properly softened up. Like Hillary care helped Newt Gingrich with the contract for America This may rebound with bad consequences for the One Worlders (Rhino’s&)

This shows how out of control this government is. They want total control and the people are getting in the way. We best terminate people like Lott, or become a dictatorship, left only with the sultans of socialism controlling television.

Re: Lott for Sale.
You got that right... he was the insurance companies' bag man until that "little" hurricane (aka Katrina) blew his house away... then when said insurance companies wouldn't pay for repairs to his house he changed his little tune.
Too bad it is all about Trent instead of "by the people, for the people."
Go away Trent... you're bothering me kid.

Trent “Chester” Lott is a little confused, as usual. Actually, it is the President, the Senate and a goodly number of House members who are busy doing everything they possibly can to make a complete mess of the United States.

"...and Ive been against amnesty and its inherent unfairness as long as Ive been alive."Oh my. Now you've gone and done it, BQ. See, that's what has Chester upset--all this quibbling over amnesty and citizenship for a mere 20 - 30 million illegal aliens.
Chester believes it's only "fair" that we do this without further delay.

From the reaction we are seeing now from our elected officials, I am afraid the cause is lost. The bill WILL be passed whether we like it or not. Dem's & Reps....it matters not. They are having a media moment by being seen as Bipartisan, cooperative, hands across the aisle....that sort of thing. Always good for them with a certain segment of the voters/proles. With this bill as a vehicle deals are being made for other legislation, some minor and some that will give us another royal screwing down the line. Promises made to one another. Things involving pork for certain ones states and districts. Things we will see, hear, and read about as well as many that will never see the light of day for us. Yeah newconhere, they gotta go. But unless we come up with a viable third party option that can actually win, we are screwed and will end up with a candidate that has as much chance of winning as Dennis K. Right now they have drawn a line in the sand and are doing everything to denigrate and beliitle us. Nearly everyone seem to voice the same thing that you and I do....they gotta go. The downside is our anger may work to guarantee a Dem win in ‘08. But the more I see and hear and read these day it does not seem like we could be any worse off. The plan seems set, the fix is in, and our lives are the board pieces being pushed around with no regard given. I was really convinced of this today when I read what Lott had to say about talk radio. We are a real threat to them and their positions of power. I know this is long, but I am wound up and have been for weeks and weeks watching events unfold. And I am sure I am not the only one.

Trent Lott believes free (political) speech is a problem?
He ought to read Robert Byrd’s little book.
