This is the homestretch.
Call and e-mail your senators today, Republicans and Democrats, urging them not to table debate on this critical piece of legislation.
It deserves a fair and open debate of all ramifications. To do otherwise is unamerican.
Ask them to vote "NO" on cloture.
Keep bumping this to the top.
Today is the day.

Reid could keep going... Add a few Repub amendments to please the other side and vote again. I would say they could block about 5-15 in one shot and then vote again.

Now lets see if Ried actually pulls it. I think he will since he was calling it Bushs bill. Agreed.
I just hope those late "NO" votes didn't cost us too dearly.

This may not be the end
FAIR has learned that instead of debating amendments on the floor, Senators this afternoon are hiding behind closed doors, drafting a massive, 400-page amendment that will replace huge chunks of the Bush-Kennedy bill currently being debated. Senate leaders are hoping to use the new substitute amendment to reverse changes made over the last 24-hours they don’t like, such as the Cornyn amendment on information sharing and the Dorgan amendment that sunsets the Y guest worker program. Leaders hope once this substitute amendment is adopted, they can get enough votes to end debate ( i.e. to pass a cloture motion) and ram it through the U.S. Senate.
FAIR is urging all members and activists to call their Senators’ offices THIS VERY MOMENT and ask Senators to refuse to take up any more secret bargains. Ask that Senators be given more time to debate meaningful amendments that would improve the bill, and if no extra time is given, to vote NO on cloture!
To find the phone numbers of your Senators, click here. If you can’t get through to the Washington D.C. office of your Senators, be sure to try the district office numbers.

“Congratulations to everyone who called, faxed, emailed and screamed from the hills. We won........well, for now until the scum Reid pushes again........”
The word from Senate staff was that Shamnesty would not surrender but come back to try once again to destroy the Republic.
They are only losing now with an eye to deception and ramming it through later.
The power of the internet is unmasking them faster than they can adapt.
That’s what you saw happen today.

I really do believe Mary loves Louisiana and America too much for this crap bill. Im not being sarcastic either.
It is a very sweet sentiment but you are wrong. She is all about getting as many federal dollars as she can for LA, screw everybody else. If somebody told her they would help her get money for a pet project she will vote however she is asked.

And if one day in the not too distant future when the Dems force through a bill that grants immediate citizenship (with voting rights etc) to the illegals. Securing their voting block for a generation or more... What will you say then? I guess we should have took the Amnesty light bill that the Republican President was trying to push through because well now you see we are paying reparations and social security to the 15 million new American Citizens... One day you may well look back on this bill and say OMG what were we thinking. By the way, if you read this bill it is only one step away from granting exactly what you fear in the "not to distant future".
We can't look at every bill with the idea that someday the Dems will be in total power. We have to lend support to what is right for America and Americans. That kind of compromise is how we get RINO's
To: publana
Lott almost has to vote NO being part of the party leadership. We need to listen closely to Reid and see if he holds true to his threat about pulling the bill or if he was just bluffing and allows the debate and amendments to go on. It ain’t over until the fat lady sings.

All the Rinos rushing to vote no now that it doesnt matter. I think the official record should show the exact order in which they voted so we can see who lead and who had their finger in the wind. EXACTLY!
I wasn't keeping track of the exact numbers, but I knew we'd won when the RINO "NAY" flood started.
