Joe Scarborough offers his keen insight and classy analysis into today's political scene in an interview this morning with Congressional Quarterly's Craig Crawford. During the Morning Joe program on MS-NBC, Scarborough suggested that Fred Thompson's wife is a whore (via the Palmetto Scoop):
SCARBOROUGH: Have you seen Fred Thompson’s wife? CRAWFORD: Oh, yeah.
SCARBOROUGH: You think she thinks she works the pole?
CRAWFORD: That’s what a Hollywood career will do for you, I guess.
SCARBOROUGH: What do you mean?
CRAWFORD: You get wives like that.
SCARBOROUGH: I mean, look at that guy. God bless him, I love his voice. But I mean, you know. He ain’t Robert Redford in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”
CRAWFORD: Well I would like to see him back into politics because I think he’s a lousy actor.

Whenever I look at a guy like Scarborough - - a guy who was once considered a “rising star” in the GOP and who then mysteriously gave it all up out of the blue - - I wonder exactly how bad the dirt was. Whatever it was, the guy clearly has a character flaw.
Exactly. Plus, they share interests — they don’t strike me as a couple that has come together based purely on physical attributes.

Of course the Fredheads will denounce anyone who brings that up and start hurling the "RINO" epitact at them.
Possibly they have no problem denouncing Giuliani & McCain's new, younger wives either, given how they denounce everyone (EXCEPT Fred) as a "Traitor" who supported McCain for POTUS and voted in favor of McCain-Feingold and amnesty for illegals. This whole campaign is shaping up to be pot calling the kettle black.
Fred's biggest roadblock to the nomination at this point seems to be his grassroot "supporters"
Giuliani’s wife and Thompson’s wife have something in common . . . they’re young and beautiful. Remember Strom Thurman? It rarely works. Ha!
P.S. Not to say anything bad about McCain’s wife but was that her on the TV I saw? No, I’m not going to say it.
Rudy’s supporters were the most vocal in denouncing the wives of other candidates, especially Reagan’s. At least some of them have left this site. Sometimes I wondered if they just pretended to be for Rudy and used it as a pretext to attack Reagan.
I never realized until now how utterly ridiculous my ex-husband (who is 23 years older) and I looked together! This is embarrassing. Not that he was a bad guy.
(Not to mention the Giuliani’s.)
People poke fun at that 6ft. tall, british redhead wife of his all the time. I was just watching some late night show taking swipes at Kook's wife last week. Where have you been?

If Joe's positions make him a "leftist", then ol' Fred must be downright communist by comparion.
I didn’t say anything about their marriage.
My concern was that of a friendly warning to ward off trouble ahead due to her looks and presentation. There’s more to come like this Scarborough garbage, but saying so makes me a bad person apparently.

Well that is ridiculous but Fred would not be the first older man to marry a younger woman.
I understand that it makes insecure feminazi middle-aged and older gals angry that a man would marry someone half his age but then again love is a strange phenomenon.
Many Baby Boom women believe the liberal lie that marriage is equal to nothing more than a civil partnership or a tax write-off volunteer cohabitation until one partner gets tired of the other.
Marriage is not an equal partnership with everyone constantly contributing 50/50.
Sometimes married partners have to give a lot more than they get and sometimes that is for a long time.
So in my lowly Red state wannabe opinion I have no problem with Fred and his current wife.
Probably what the Hollywood and secular crowd would like for all to believe.

Scarborough voted 95% conservative because he was elected from a very conservative FL panhandle district and he liked the job. Once he left Congress for reasons he probably can't afford to reveal his true policial colors came out in the open. He has become far less conservative and far more liberal as time goes on and his lackluster media career drags on toward an inevitable, ignominious failure.
Joe's insulting remarks about Fred's wife don't deserve to be repeated, but Joe does deserve one of Fred's big fists upside his pea-brained head for his unforgivable insult to a smart, well educated, and attractive woman who was mature enough and wise enough to marry an older man who can give her the love and security that most sensible women of her age and status want from their man. Not every attractive 30-ish woman is a "hottie" sexpot who only wants a young stud with an overactive libido for a husband or bed partner. Some of the more intelligent ones are attracted to a mature, intelligent, successful gentleman like Fred who has far more to offer a lady than does the typical young stud who is always on the lookout for that younger and more attractive hottie who may have more to offer him than the fast-fading charms of the one he has now.
Fred is far from a lousy actor...he plays his roles damn well. Crawford is a f-cking moron.
