If Joe's positions make him a "leftist", then ol' Fred must be downright communist by comparion.
Scarborough voted 95% conservative because he was elected from a very conservative FL panhandle district and he liked the job. Once he left Congress for reasons he probably can't afford to reveal his true policial colors came out in the open. He has become far less conservative and far more liberal as time goes on and his lackluster media career drags on toward an inevitable, ignominious failure.
Joe's insulting remarks about Fred's wife don't deserve to be repeated, but Joe does deserve one of Fred's big fists upside his pea-brained head for his unforgivable insult to a smart, well educated, and attractive woman who was mature enough and wise enough to marry an older man who can give her the love and security that most sensible women of her age and status want from their man. Not every attractive 30-ish woman is a "hottie" sexpot who only wants a young stud with an overactive libido for a husband or bed partner. Some of the more intelligent ones are attracted to a mature, intelligent, successful gentleman like Fred who has far more to offer a lady than does the typical young stud who is always on the lookout for that younger and more attractive hottie who may have more to offer him than the fast-fading charms of the one he has now.
