WASHINGTON Rep. William Jefferson, D-La., was indicted Monday on 16 counts related to a long-running bribery investigation on counts including racketeering, obstruction of justice and conspiracy. [snip]
Previously from Drudge.com:
Sources tell CBS NEWS that Congressman William Jefferson (D-LA) will be indicted this afternoon on more than a dozen counts involving public corruption. Jefferson has been the subject of a ongoing probe in which FBI agents allegedly found more than 90-thousand dollars in cash in his freezer. The Justice Department is expected to unveil the charges later today... Developing...
To deflect attention from the uprising over the traitorous illegal invaders amnesty?
See Post #7.
Never thought they would indict him. Calls should start for him to resign immediately — oh wait, he is a Dem and it doesn’t work that way for them. He was just a little misguided in his dealings and loved to pocket money — nothing to see here.
Just one time I would love to see a DemocRAT stand up to their crime and resign.
Didn’t Pelosi try to appoint him to head one of the committees? So much for Hastert saying they had no right to search his office.
OY! An obvious CUSTURE OF CORRUPTION within the
DEMOCRAT PARTY!!!!
Demand that Jefferson be prevented from movin’ on up to the big time. To the penthouse in the skyyyyyyyyyy.
Quite frankly, I am surprised they don't try this more often. Just find some blogger to accuse Congressman _____ of ____. Repeat until House is 435-0 in favor of the RATS.
I’m sure the MSM will cover this story with the same enthusiasm as they did with Hastert, DeLay, and Libby. I wont hold my breath. This will be forgotten, and the MSM will continue to cover for the Democrats.
This is a complete non-story. Corruption is expected of liberal Democrats, so it's the same old non-news. The only way this would be news is if it were truly scandalous, like indictments against Polly Purebread (Rita Cosby) or Underdog (Ron Paul).
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... I kill myself sometimes.
Heh, that *was* entertaining. Sadly, his replacement may turn out to just be as bad, if not worse than Jefferson. During his reelection campaign, ol' Bill was opposed by some nutcase Democrat who seems to be a clone of Cynthia McKinney.
REP. NANCY PELOSI: Yes, indeed. Finally we will be able to take a vote on the floor to clean up the political system. I say of Washington it was built on a swamp and it’s swamp to swamp in two centuries. We absolutely owe it to the American people, they expect it, they deserve it, for us to clean the slate of this political system that takes their voices away.

Harry Reid (D-NEV) should receive equal consideration.
That would really bite ole San Fran Nan and the rats. I'd like to see him behind bars the same day as William Jefferson (D) LA.
Don't hold your breath!
“I never do nothing wrong, man. But everytime I get the blame. I’ve been framed.”
Off-subject.
FNC is announcing a small plane crash in Upland on Blossom Circle. Looks like it ran out of fuel, no fire or explosion.
WOW!!! That is some web-site!! It is stuff like this that absolutely amazes me how anyone can have an ounce of respect for that pig.
2 pigs in a freakin pod!!
Me, too.
The “nobody cares” story is a diversion, to fool the public into thinking the immigration issue is set, sealed and finished, and past arguing about.
The “Jefferson indicted” story is a bone thrown to the faithful, hoping they’ll be so happy that they’ll shut up about... that... other... thing....
The lesson? The elected ones will do anything to have their own way (no doubt for their OWN benefit), and don’t give a damn what the majority of the population thinks, becase they just think we’re too stupid to understand.
And this goes for both sides of the aisle.
So, when is he going to step down, and when will Queen Nancy ask him to resign?
Hmmmmmmmmmm.
Culture of corruption bump!
