“He was the only one I would listen to until he went into feeding the sharks. Now it is deportation or else and rip the President for 2-3 hours a day.”

You show me where exactly he “rips” the President.

Ok...do that for me...if you can.

I’ve been listening to Rush since darn near the beginning. If he’s anything he’s consistient.

“He is no less one sided than Dead Air America. Until he gets to the root of the problem there is no solution and he doesn’t want one. It is too easy a issue.”

Good God how much more uninformed about one person can you get?

What have you been doing...using old crib sheets from BTS?

Look...bottom line...if this bill passes...it’s bad for America...it’s bad for the WoT and it’s bad for the Republican Party...which you can kiss goodbye.

No matter how much lipstick you put on this pig...it still smells bad and is bad for the country.

How anyone in their right mind can STILL support and defend open borders (The President Included) after what ALL of us saw happen and some people had to live through on 9/11 boggles my mind.

Why do you want to undercut our war on terrorism abroad by letting those same terrorists in the back door via amnesty?

You know I spent 3 weeks in England this spring and it was really intresting listening to English people talking about their Illegals. They say pretty much the exact same thing about their Illegals that we hear here. This seems to be an issue not just here but world wide.

Not at all, he used to discuss it in a logical manner and admit that we need a guest worker program. He was the only one I would listen to until he went into feeding the sharks. Now it is deportation or else and rip the President for 2-3 hours a day.

Rush hasn't been ripping the President .. others have .. but Rush was very calm and stating a fact about this immigration issue mess

Sorry. Didn’t see your post until now. Too busy looking for a link to the New Deal online poker site.

As cold as it seems to some, the best of all possible futures is one in which we “let go” of the lesser skilled, low paying jobs and upgrade our labor force to do the new, high-skilled, high-paying jobs.

Wearing asbestos now.

Facts are stubborn things. It certainly refutes anecdotal stories and emotion. The idea that importing high school dropouts is good for America is nonsense.

And once they get here, they manufacture their own supply. Unless the life chances of children raised by single mothers suddenly improve, the explosive growth of the U.S. Hispanic population over the next couple of decades does not bode well for American social stability. The dimensions of the Hispanic baby boom are startling. The Hispanic birthrate is twice as high as that of the rest of the American population. That high fertility rate – even more than unbounded levels of immigration – will fuel the rapid Hispanic population boom in the coming decades. It's the fertility surge among unwed Hispanics that should worry policymakers. Hispanic women have the highest unmarried birthrate in the country – over three times that of whites and Asians, and nearly 1 ½ times that of black women, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Every 1,000 unmarried Hispanic women bore 92 children in 2003 (the latest year for which data exist), compared with 28 children for unmarried white women, 22 for unmarried Asian women, and 66 for unmarried black women.

So glad to hear that. Many say he’s soooo bad and ripping the President. I could not imagine he would really do that.

The more I read and talk with other small business owners like my self the more I learn that the primary attraction of the illegal workers rather than "there is just no one else" is simply price and little else.

There are few business owners that can not find a way to cure their labor needs without the aid of low priced workers. And ironically it may not even cost them more in the long run!

For example the age old argument of "who will pick the tomatoes, apples, lettuce etc." is largely dispelled by agriculture buying cheap illegal help instead of more expense yet extremely efficient machinery which does the jobs of hunders of workers but has a relative costly outlay initially.

Today's emphasis is always on "how much money can I make today" not in ten years so we wind up with a bunch of illegals instead of hi-tech machinery.

The const. industry is another openly crying the blues about how they "can"t find carpenters, laborers etc. Once again that argument is likely more about what they are willing to pay so they can make that extra ten grand per house.

But is that any excuse for violating federal law by hiring illegals so they can have an extra ten grand per house---I think not.

The fact that they can hire illegal carpenters for $8-$10 bucks an hour cheaper than locals is no excuse to do so,it still subverts US law.

Hotels, motels, restaurants, hospitality workers are often illegals as well. One problem those employers often encounter is the damage they often do far exceeds the few bucks that mgmt. saves.

I know from personal experience from first hand stories I have been told by those hiring third worlders instead of locals just how much damage they do to cleaning equip. sheets, bedding, towels, equipment, pools, dishwashers you name it if it can be scrwed up someone who doesn't speak a world of English has the talent to screw it up. Not to mention their interaction with guests or customers.

Those are just three examples from three industries about how the "desperate need" for illegals is way overstated, asserted and really no excuse at all for hiring illegals. And in many case more expensive in the long run.

Good for your father, what does that have to do with immigration. Your tangents are so off the point it is astounding. We need low cost labor and your side has no alternatives.

Low paid labor is always going to have health/poverty problems, so what? You can find the same stats in the inner city, so what?

Where did I ever say I support this bill or any bill? I just say that deportation is not a viable option and give the President credit for addressing this issue.

Your side wants to eliminate any debate and vilify businesses that hire low skilled labor. You cry for a Living Wage like liberals. That is my problem with you and Rush. How many times does he say elitist Republican, like he’s not one. I sure can’t afford Country Club dues.

When you have Turd World dirt farmers living next to the Richest Country in the World, where do you think they’re going to go??

Pray for W and Our Troops

We’re not going to catch 100% of them....but what we realistically need to do is catch enough of them and enforce the laws that we have to the point where they stop wanting to come here illegally.

I heard a good analogy the other day:

Illegal immigration is like a highway where there are no cops and everyone is speeding. One side says, "We can't arrest every motorist on the highway.", but that is a red herring.. All we have to do is put some patrol cars on the highway and ticket some of the speeders and the rest will slow down.

Same thing with immigration:

  1. Secure the borders
  2. Deny social services to illegals
  3. Tighten up identification procedures
  4. Allow and encourage state and local law enforcement officials to arrest illegals
  5. Aggressively pursue deportation in high crime areas
  6. Stop the catch and release of illegals
  7. Crack down on employers of illegals.

After all that is implemented we can talk about increasing legal immigration and regularizing the illegals who don't self-deport.
