Thank you for posting that. I usually listen to Rush on QuickTime, and the paradies do not get played.

Murtha just said al-Qaeda does the things it does because we are in Iraq. I turned it off.

He said the bill’s opponents “...don’t want what’s best for America...”. That’s quintessential snarling, political rhetoric

Every week when he makes a speech about Iraq. But of course "dogma uber alles" again. For too many "Conservatives" unless the pseudo Conservative radio ranters scream it at them, it not "real".

Maybe instead of merely running around looking for the next thing to whine about the "Conservatives" in the various medias might try reporting what Bush says. They all want him to have a bully pulpit but then do nothing but regurgitate the DNC's noise machines propaganda lines.

So my question goes back to why all this outrage didn’t happen closer to 9-11? THAT is when they should have SHUT DOWN ALL of the borders.
The timing of this thing is really odd.

In the parlance of a United States President, yes.

I have said a thousand times this bill stinks!!! But the rhetoric is out of control!!

The stakes are very high. If this bill passes, it is game, set and match for this country as we know it. Once the status of the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens in this country is legalized, the consequences will be enormous due to chain migration and a stampede to get into the US prior to the window closing on the Z visas, which will be a year plus another year if determined by the Secretary for Homeland Security. The rhetoric reflects what is at stake for those who understand the bill and its implications.

I have no idea what you’re point is. And, as usual, I doubt you do either.

The focus at that point was on Afghanistan....then Iraq...etc...

The goal was to keep fighting them elsewhere- not here, and to bring democracy to the middle east....democracies don’t usually go to war.....unless prompted to...

I also believe that there is no way that this kind of bill would have seen light of day with The Hammer from Texas as Speaker of the House.......

Yes. and, furthermore, it’s the only solution which would truly solve the underlying problem without the band-aid “fix” of importing masses of foreign peasants.

Might I remind you the last time we had a huge economic depression .. it brought us FDR and the New Deal

All Wolf Blitzer was interested in this morning was getting richard shelby to say he would have voted against the war if he knew then what he knows now.

CNN, all it is, is a vehicle to get anti bush sound bites for the evening news.

It is possible to put your foot down and say NO WAY Jorge, and not HATE the man....

Then why spell his name that way?

I do know that enforcement against employers was much higher under the Clinton administration and that wasn’t very much. Between January 2000 and March 2005, 7.9 million new immigrants (legal and illegal) settled in the country, making it the highest five-year period of immigration in American history.

I agree on those jobs but also see a danger here that the supermarkets will not pay an increase to get the produce from American producers and therefore will buy the produce from abroad. It sounds crazy but sometimes it is cheaper to import food than to buy it from fair traders in your own country.

The bottom line is the consumer is not willing to pay more.

The result in paying fair wages again for hotel workers will be an increase in charges probably nearing European levels for accommodation.

Absolutely correct, were I President 9/11/2001 I would have had 1,000 building contractors all building a huge fence on 9/12. Why it didn't happen is still a mystery to me.

Sometimes we have to take it when we can get it. Better now than never.

Problem is that even when Fed. law to build a fence is passed and funded there is still no guarantee that it will ever be built, maybe we have too many lawyers in congress.

That's why the locals will eventually solve immigration debacle one small town/city at a time.

Even Rush will be affected if all those evil businesses were shut down. Who would buy his advertisers products so he can charge confiscatory rates??

The hate rhetoric is easier to spew than to discuss this issue. The anti-business people know that you can’t really solve this so they would rather look down from their pedestals and condemn everyone who is making an attempt.

Pray for W and Our Troops
