Gee thanks. Now I don’t want my lunch!
:P
Everything is blurred when I look at it too. The good part is the photo is an old one, so shows my back yard looking somewhat clean. Also, it shows my address as the church down the street.
When I tried it, I eventually got a little icon of a person that I dragged over to a blue oulined area. Only works in highlighted area. Got a good close up of a highway near where I live. Didn’t cover the dynachrome mansion yet.
Whatever you do, don't plug in 128 E. 19th St. New York, NY 10001. You'll get a really nasty close up of Rudy's camel toe.
Yeah, I’ve been dragging him to. Then it defaults back to where he was.
Hmm, just checked my driveway. That’s funny, I don’t recall asking the plumber to come by the house. I also don’t recall my wife being off of work today.
Thanks. I own a copy of my area in satellite pics. Its from 1992, but still facinating to look at.
‘Google earth does, but the new “street view” is using security and traffic cam feeds and you can zoom in on faces and license plates quite easily.’
Ahhhh, that explains it, thanks.
WATCH OUT WHEN BUYING YOUR PORN....PING!!!
If you go to google maps, you should see some camera on places like LA and Denver. If you zoom into those areas you should be able to see the street views. I did it once a few days ago, so that may or may not be right.
Well, I tried, and the tag “Street Maps” disappears when I do the search on my town. I get the feeling this is new, limited to where they have linked to street-level cameras.
I always wear my Bill Clinton mask when I buy my porn. They greet me with a “Good afternoon and welcome back, Mr. President.”
Bring up Google Maps and press the Street View button along the top. You should see camera icons on the US map. Those mark where the new coverage is available. When you zoom in on a marked area, the covered streets will be outlined in blue.
Amazon's A9 site tried a version of this a few years ago, but they dropped it a while back. A9 drove a GPS-equipped van with cameras on the roof up and down streets. So you could look up a shop or restaurant and see what it should like when you get there. However, it lacked the cool panning and zooming that Google's implementation has.
Microsoft is in the game, also. Their Live Search offers low-altitude, oblique aerial photography for select areas.
Hee hee, GOOD PLAN!!
...if you prefer looking up their...addresses.
I love your tag line.
