Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan announced Monday she is giving up her role as the "face" of the American anti-war movement.
Sheehan, 49, of Vacaville, Calif., lost her 24-year-old son Casey in Iraq on April 4, 2004. She has since emerged as one of the most vocal and high-profile opponents of the war, drawing international attention nearly two years ago when she camped outside President Bush's Crawford, Texas ranch to protest the war.
"I am going to take whatever I have left and go home. I am going to go home and be a mother to my surviving children and try to regain some of what I have lost," Sheehan said.

After two years of embarrassing your son’s legacy, you finally realize that the left has no principles and is only interested in regaining its power in D.C. The left doesn’t care about you or your son, or about war or peace....only power! The thing about Cindy is that she is a nutcase. She wants all the troops home two weeks from now without the slightest thought or concern over what would happen next.
She has one short sighted, self centered, fixated goal without any peripheral vision at all. She just doesn’t care. In short, she’s an obsessed, uninformed, misguided nut and the Left finally woke up to that fact.

I don't think the left EVER wakes up to anything. My guess is that internal polling numbers found her to have become a drain on the dim party, so they cut her loose. As nutty as she is, if the dims thought she would help them in the election, she would still be invited to every event and the media would still be covering her every move.
I actually feel bad for the lady. She obviously had and continues to have mental problems as a consequence of her son’s death. The Rats expoited Sheehan’s mental problems. But she is reasonable enough, finally, to realize she was just a tool.
This looks very bad for the Dems.
