Mironov Tells Kyoto Experts The World Is Getting Cooler
By Simon Shuster
Staff Writer

Sergei Mironov

ST. PETERSBURG -- It was a failure from the start. Russia's biggest conference on the Kyoto Protocol, which aims to fight global warming, began with a speech from a top official who denied that global warming even exists.

"In reality, the scientific basis for the protocol is fairly weak," Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov told a crowded opening session of the two-day conference Thursday, which drew more than 200 environmental experts and carbon market participants from around the world. "In the opinion of many experts, the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere does not have any effect on the climate."

On this point, Mironov stands on the fringes of global scientific opinion. A growing consensus has formed among top scientists and politicians, who have been warning governments to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases being spewed into the atmosphere. The Kyoto Protocol, first signed in 1997, created a system of financial incentives for doing this.

The “Climate Change” movement isn’t insanity. It’s a carefully calculated effort to undermine market forces. Global warming, global cooling, makes no difference. The bottom line is, capitalism is bad for the weather.

BINGO! Except it goes even further than that. Eradicating capitalism is only the first step. After that (or maybe before) the Kyoto treaty is ratified in full and we go bankrupt to pay for the global cleanup. This will of course require the USA just hand over the keys to the UN. The next is a fav of ALGORE if you read his book from the last decade wherein he advocates eradicating the internal combustion engine and then he wants to move the entire population of the midwest to the coastal cities. This is of course to return the land raped by farmers to the pristine serenity of a Bambi environment. Of course eliminating vehicles means no more sporting purposes for firearms (can't get to the hunting areas which will be off limits soon anyway...besides the UN hates 'em anyway) so all rifles instantly become sniper rifles....say buh-BYE to the 2nd Amendment. Pretty much TEOTWAWKI. Know what? The poor ignorant fools that are the mainstream of the Democratic Party and those folks we know as RINO's won't even see it coming until it's way too late.

“you are exposing yourself as a charlatan.”

Well, well; I am the charlatan now. Since you provided no clue as to what you are talking about, perhaps you would be familiar with darwin saying that:
1. if it can be shown that a series of small mutations could not possibly lead to the development of a new function then my theory breaks down (we have shown this many times)
2. Although there were no transitional fossils 150 years ago and darwin was very concerned about this, but he predicted than many many would be found soon. Well none have been found as of 2007 (except in frauds or in the mind of the true believers in darwin)
btw, I’ve read darwins Black Box - Dr. Michael Behe (subject Irreducible Complexity); darwin on Trial - Phillip Johnson; Politically Incorrect Guide to darwinism and ID - Dr. Jonathan Wells; Doubts About darwin - Dr. Thomas Woodward, recently, shall I go on?

“Global population is more likely to be in serious decline than rise. What are your FACTS that say otherwise?”

How about birth vs death rates outside industrialized countries?

How about the accuracy of counting outside of industrialized countries, and the clear political motives to wildly overcount?

And even counts IN the most modern, first world, industrialized countries -- just HOW many extended visa-free visitors (illegal aliens) do do we have in the US? Is it 12 million, 22 million, 32 million?

The numbers are not accurate. Even in the most modern of places we have only guesses -- ballpark guesses, maybe just the infield. Third world numbers? EVERY number is a wild guess. Way wild.

How many died of famine in China last year? Where's that number? And if there is a number -- by what regard can it be considered reliable? How reliable is enforcement of their (damnable) one-child policy? Just how quickly can China kill itself off?

Went on a China tear there. Sorry. Main point is that the population figures worldwide are all fairy tales — or rather political propaganda.

Have you noticed how quick the evos are with the insults? Don’t waste your time. IMO, most of them are sleeper RATS, anyway. It’d be easier for you to convince the Algore that Global Warming is a fake.

Once more for the record, a major source of atmospheric carbon dioxide is carbonated beverages.

Beer an cokes are polluting the atmosphere with CO2 effervescence

You honestly don't believe that Putin's Russia cares only about the truth of science do you?

No more than Al Gore. Gore doesn't give a whit about science. He just cares about lining his pockets and using the leftist whack jobs masquerading as "climate scientists" to destroy the U.S. economy. "Consensus" and "science" don't belong in the same sentence. It is herd mentality trying to drown out real science.

Russia's biggest conference on the Kyoto Protocol which drew more than 200 environmental experts and carbon market participants from around the world.

It's a real whopper. I have enough room for all the them to assemble on my driveway. I'll bet a careful check of credentials could vastly lower the number who really deserve the title "expert".

As of now, the bottom has dropped out of the carbon offset certificates, so I’ll have to plan something else. But I like AmCDT’s recomendation. Two negatives make a positive. Either way how will they know which ones are fake? Or which fake ones are the real fakes?

This is not what you said in your previous posts.

Instead, there you claimed that Darwinism implied earth and life were a mistake or due to random mutation, and that man descended from chimpanzees.

Neither of these statements are part of Darwinism. Neither did Darwin say so, nor did Darwinists later adopt these claims.

Therefore I said, if you use these historical falsifications you expose yourself as a charlatan. Conversely, if you stick to what Darwinism actually entails, you may come across as a person knowledgeable on the subject matter. It's really quite simple and the choice is yours.

"Consensus" and "science" don't belong in the same sentence. It is herd mentality trying to drown out real science.

Al Gore picks the most extreme and unsupported arguments for Global Warming and presents them as a fact. When questioned he states that he has the consensus of scientists even though his specific 'threats' do not have wide support (like his 20 ft sea rise claims or his increase in the number of hurricanes claims). But his method really isn't surprising. Democrats have been using this strategy for decades. If some kids get shot up at a school by a student gunman, they will use hand picked polling data to suggest the banning of all firearms. When questioned about this, they will claim that they have consensus based on a limited poll that doesn't cover the scope of their projected changes. The same applies to Gore's Global Warming argument except that it is more bizarre. In this case he assumes that a consensus of scientists guarantees the truth of his argument. He only needs to look back to the "One Hundred Authors Against Einstein" pamphlet to note how fallible humans can be when something is politicized.

Given what they are taught, I don’t expect imagination to have a lot to do with expectations, more like ‘self worth’.

After man-made global warming nonsense is gone, the next shoe to drop will be on the heads of the darwin crowd, who believe that all this (the earth, life, mankind) is just a big freakish mistake or random mutation (or they also say smart beings might be living on a moon of Jupiter). I love it!

It's dumb statements like that which is why people believe the left over the right in matters of science and has allowed this global warming nonsense to go on and on.

We wouldn’t have any of these problems if we shut down most of the greenhouses and stopped them from emitting so many gases. And it would be a big help if we ate more cows to stop their methane production.

Cooler? This why the enemy of Capitalism is moving from calling their propaganda “global warmimg” and instead call it “climate change”, covers it all.
