Well, ain’t that special - releasing this on Memorial Day weekend when most people don’t worry about news. Also it will be off everyone’s radar by Tuesday. The DBM is so in love with the ‘toon characters.
I am appalled that Governor Richardson and Secretary Principi would allow themselves to used for propaganda purposes by the North Koreans, who illegally hold the USS Pueblo. Moreover, their presence on the ship was humiliating for the United States of America and makes a mockery of the sacrifice of the crew who were held for 11 months. One member of the crew was killed during the attack on the ship.
Richardson claims to be an experienced diplomat. This episode demonstrates how incompetent he really is.
The reason that New Mexico is at the bottom of the charts on every statistic after 5 years of his governorship is because he followed a Republican administration.
He wants to be the president to the middle class. This is just hilarious and scary.
***Did they not basically drive Tom Delay out of Congress for doing this?***
Yes, that is exactly what happened. I am about ready to log off in a few and head to Church. Will try to read some replies later.
All you have to do is watch him during this appalling MTP appearance. It is almost clownish.
I Just saw a post from MNJ on the pre-thread and he just happened to post about a topic that is becoming near and dear to me. Why we are in Iraq and the justification for it as well. Yesterday I got an opportunity to discuss the war strategy and the rest with a few friends one of which was concerned that the arabs still hate us going back to pre-Bubba when 41 liberated Kuwait.
His attitude was that we stuck our nose in where it didn't belong and that was the primary reason the terror types are coming after us today. It took a while but I carefully explained why we needed to bail out an ally that was unfairly attacked, their women raped, oil wells set afire, infrastructure looted and pillaged and the rest.
I also explained that 911 was only a culmination of a series of attacks on the US, mosty abroad but some here as well, that have been going on(largely unnoticed by the msm) for years and until 911 and were largely ignored by all.
Not everyone has a handle on geopolitics, but with what little I knew it was explainable.
I explained the domino theory about first Kuwait then the Saudis and then who knows. By the way it just makes common sense to bring in energy security into the equation as well,no matter what the rats say or infer.
I also explained why the islamo fascists hate us no matter what since we are really nothing more to them than the great satan.I continued with the blind brainwashing of those brainwashed by a perverted interpretation of the koran dating back to the 7th centruy, who funds terrorism, etc. etc. how we actually are fighting terrorists from numerous countries in Iraq which is only one country involved in a world wide WOT.
After wards I felt like I had made progress but looking back I see now that our adm. in DC has down a poor job of justifying and explaining the WOT to the American people much less the world.
Much of that due to consistent lies and spinning by the msm but either way our communications about the WOT and other issues remains sadly lacking,IMHO. Thank God for the New Media.
It was a difficult and lengthy explanation and I see now that more of this needs to be done to those who are not already hopelessly brainwashed by the usual suspects if we are to help many understand the world we live in.
Specter wants to fix the broken border problem.
==
His solution is to give away the candy story (the US) to the illegals.
He does not see that giving illegals immediate legalized status as amnesty. His wiggle-wording is that amnesty deals with giving citizenship.
[No, Senator, it deals with allowing illegals to remain here and be given status where they can no longer be deported.]
Specter admits it would have been better for this new bill to have gone through committee. He blames Reid for pushing the bill to a floor vote.
Hutchinson: You can't tell whether you have secured the border just by the number of apprehensions.
Hutchinson: ...need some kind of system to show progress in border security, rather than just someone's opinion [Chertoff, Bush] that it has been secured.
Hutchinson: The amnesty has to be addressed. And the Social Security has to be addressed. Chain migration needs to be changed to favor workers over family; it is currently the reverse.
What about the rest of al-Qaeda around the world??
I guess Timmy didn't ask him that, huh?
once again the Democrats, get away with the double stanrdrd thanks to friends in the DBM.
In hiding. Even his sock puppet Lindsey Graham is afraid to come out and face the music. Plus, these shows are looking to get sympathetic spokesmen for the shamnesty bill and neither of them qualify. Them appearing this week is a lose-lose-lose proposition for them, the McLame campain and the bill.
Seeing as how the odds of Hunter smacking down Rangel are pretty good, this will be the first time I’ll bother tuning in to watch Late Edition.
Clintons office makes no apologies, saying taxpayers are getting a bargain.
Given his tireless work on behalf of the U.S. government abroad with the tsunami and state funerals, including leading the U.S. delegation to Boris Yeltsins recent funeral, his work at home with Hurricane Katrina recovery, and his vigorous charitable foundation work to fight AIDS, climate change and childhood obesity, Id say the American people are getting more than their moneys worth from President Clinton, spokesman Jay Carson said.
Beside a barf bag ... I want an audit of his books
Expecting liberals to support a War on Terror is an unrealistic expectation.
* Past Wars have been dismal failures. The War on Poverty has resulted in higher poverty, lower numbers of married couples raising their children together, and left our society with the spectacle of the Super Dome 20,0000, who are Lyndon Johnsons spiritual grand-children; unable to do for themselves, and waiting for the Man to come take care of them. The War on Drugs has also failed in its stated goals, and remains an excuse for expanded government spending and use of paramilitary tactics by local police departments. (Do you remember seeing Jimmy Cagney being told to kneel or lay down and put his hands behind his head in a movie? That came with the War on Drugs.)
*Osama Bin Laden killed 3.000 people on 9/11, which is just about another day in the office compared to the number of abortions in this country. As a result, liberals think there is no justification for this war.
*A War on Terror diverts money and effort and attention from the ultimate liberal goal of big government, which is domestic spending devoted to controlling every aspect of a private citizens life, turning Americans into Stepford Wives.
*The War on Terror is the only thing liberals have to talk about. Its better than having ideas that people like to hear about, let alone put in place.
*And, finally, Harry Truman had to make a terrible decision in 1945. He decided to use WMD rather than invade Japan, because he and his advisors believed that the loss of life would be less than the losses expected in an invasion.
And because that use was so fresh in everybodys mind, there was no use of atomic or nuclear weapons during the Cold War, despite all the speculation about the use of limited tactical weapons of this nature.
But, it has been 60+ years; two generations; ago, and people have had time to forget how terrible the results would be. If a weapon like this actually went off, maybe liberals would change their views, but nothing short of that will make a difference in their thinking.
