I am sure that Russert will not ask Richardson why he toured the USS Pueblo last month while visiting North Korea. The USS Pueblo is still carried as a commissioned US Navy vessel on active duty.

I am appalled that Governor Richardson and Secretary Principi would allow themselves to used for propaganda purposes by the North Koreans, who illegally hold the USS Pueblo. Moreover, their presence on the ship was humiliating for the United States of America and makes a mockery of the sacrifice of the crew who were held for 11 months. One member of the crew was killed during the attack on the ship.

Richardson claims to be an experienced diplomat. This episode demonstrates how incompetent he really is.

Richardson has been alleged to have a very unsavory past, to the extent that a lib commenter stated that Bill Richardson makes Tom Delay look like a choirboy.
