The President says we need “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”
Besides not enforcing the laws we have, what needs to be change?
If we can monitor 25 million new immigrants, how come we cannot deport 12?
They’re just going thru the e-motions............

Thanks for starting this thread...I’ve got to run errands so I can be back in time for the debate to begin...I’ll be watching this very closely, but am hoping that there aren’t even enough favorable votes for allowing discussion to begin!
Hopefully, our D.C. leadership HAVE been listening to all the calls, letters and faxes from the majority of Americans who do NOT want anything close to this bill being passed!! If we can get it stopped then WE must get IN THEIR FACES and in the faces of the OBL MEDIA....to Secure the Borders and Enforce the Current Immigration Laws...how?...go to www.lframerica.com...where protest marches have been planned, for next month’s Flag Day weekend in D.C. and state capitols nationwide! Check out the list of participants and speakers!
Is somebody going to start a Live Thread? The Senate has begun!
bttt
When is the vote scheduled to decide to waive the rules and take up the bill? Or have they already done that?
Reid admits that, under the current system and with the current number of border agents, they can apprehend only 5% (five-percent) of those coming across the border illegally.
That is an atrocity, and Congress and the Bush Administration are fully responsible.
Could this be sub-titled LIVE THREAD?
Reid is discussing it now...wants to vote for cloture..
Per Sen. Sessions, they are presented with basically last year’s bill. That is what they will read and vote on. Then, later, when convenient, Reid and Company will substitute the new bill for the old bill.
The problem is, no one outside those involved in the secret meetings know what the new bill actually contains.
But by the time the new bill contents are available, the bill will have already been passed.

It causes one to wonder what the Bush Admin now owes to Sens. Reid and Kennedy to get this bill pushed through.
Something smacks, considering the vitriol Kennedy and Reid have spewed at GWBush for the last 6 years, and now all three of them are pushing this bill with every fiber of their being.

The alien and their families who file applications for amnesty shall not be detained, determined inadmissible, deported, or removed until their applications are finally adjudicated, unless they commit a future act that renders them ineligible with amnesty. With tens of millions of applications, this amnesty, this provision essentially guarantees an illegal alien years of protection in the United States, even if they do not qualify for the amnesty." -- Jeff Sessions 2) Consultations Between United States And Mexican Authorities At... |
Thanks for much for the live thread. I’m listening to Senator Sessions making a ton of sense right now. If only he can convince just a few of these jerks to hold off on ramming The Thing That Would Not Die through...
That deal was to grant green cards to the illegals, thus, by default, making them legal.
I got skewered, especially by the Bushbots, for posting that.
Well, the Z-Visa seems to be almost that concept. As soon as this bill is signed, the illegals get status. Tony Snow called it being regularized. Call it whatever, it is de facto amnesty.
