US opens door to millions of Muslims
American Thinker's Blog ^ | May 18 | James Lewis

The proposed immigration deal will throw open our doors to increased immigration from Muslim lands, not just Mexico. From the US State Department website: "The fourth and most recent wave of Muslim immigration (into the US) has come after 1965, the year President Lyndon Johnson sponsored an immigration bill that repealed the longstanding system of quotas by national origin. Under the new system, preferences went to relatives of U.S. residents and those with special occupational skills needed in the United States. The new law was a signal act in American history, making it possible for the first time since the early part of the 20th century for someone to enter the country regardless of his or her national origin. After 1965, immigration from Western Europe began to decline significantly, with a corresponding growth in the numbers of persons arriving from the Middle East and Asia. In this era more than half of the immigrants to America from these regions have been Muslim." (italics added)

Council backs neighbors in flap, orders flag down (Las Vegas)

You are going to be forced to take back your country from the hands of socialists and thugs. You might as well start now.

What are Bush and Congress trying to do to us??? Impeach them all for failing to uphold their Constitutional oath to protect our nation from foreign invaders.

I don’t believe there has been a more anti-american congress.

Yeah, but I expect this from Dims.

What makes me mad is that this Congress is only doing what our President has been begging them to do for years. And I expect better from him.

I don’t believe there has been a more anti-american congress. Ben Franklin warned us of this.

Aye, try this vanity and this vanity for more...

Cheers!

>Too bad we don’t have a Political Party or PAC to represent us, isn’t it?<

You might try contacting Gary Randall at info@faithandfreedom.us It is a conservative PAC, and a very good one. They have meetings that are very informative and positive.

Simply refusing to fund the GOP wont solve much. We need to kick out Congressmen who have betrayed their constituencies, since thats the one thing they care about most. More often than not people vote for the incumbent just because they are comfortable in a familiar figure. Wrong wrong wrong. That is not how a democracy should work. If you are going to re elect an incumbent just because he is the incumbent, why hold elections at all.

Every immigrant to this country should have a American citizen as a sponsor who guarantees with a posted bond that the new immigrant will not be a public charge. If the immigrant becomes a public charge on welfare, public health facilities etc., that bond would be forfeited. I once sponsored a foreign student, I was asked to pledge that he would not be a burden on the taxpayer. I made sure that he never was. That is the way it should be.

"middle" or "radical out there" on politics but he did say that President G.W. Bush is like "LBJ II" or "LBJ Jr" and I think he is right in the long run with this immigration bill and it seems like we are having our hands tied in the fight for Iraq.

Actually when you compare LBJ and Jorge the similarities are glaring.

It's like Arbusto modeled his whole life on LBJ: Both worn the nation's uniform and both declined active service vs. little yellow people.

Both are encouraging and presiding over a complete demographic change.

Spending like drunk sailors?

Both were married to gracious and lovely ladies

Both only had two daughters (nothing wrong with that, but it's incredible, not just a coincident?)

Both rose from the cesspool of Texas politics

Both alienated their own parties

Both got us into wars without defined objectives.

The stockholders of Hailburton (formerly known as Brown-and-Root) loved these guys.

Feel free to add your own.

Some open border advocates care nothing about Hispanics. Their wish if for MORE muslims. Case in point, Bush’s #1 advisor on immigration, GROVER NORQUIST, head of the islamic institute, married a muslim Palestinean (who works for Bush), whose brother is in charge of the $ at homeland security....Nice tidy little mess, eh?
This is simply a repeat of the same players as in the past!

Background:

[snip]
The “twitching dogs” who dragged down Simpson’s initiative last year are Capitol heavyweights whose coalition on immigration falls into the unlikely bedfellows category. Among them: the National Federation of Independent Business, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Rifle Association, the Catholic church, the American Civil Liberties Union, the American Bar Association and even some labor unions.

But the anti-verification coalition painted the proposal as a sinister plot. It portrayed it as a retina-scan ID card, police-state power, the second coming of the Holocaust and even the fulfillment of a dark prophecy in the Bible’s Book of Revelation that people would be stamped with the “mark of the beast.”

At one meeting of the Judiciary Committee, an irritated and clearly frustrated Simpson indignantly waved a make-believe tattoo that looked like a grocery store bar code. He called it a ploy to kill his verification proposal. He was right.

Grover Norquist, a social conservative and anti-tax Republican lobbyist, reveled unapologetically in the tactics he used to undermine the verification initiative and to mock Simpson personally.

The peel-off bar-code tattoos were supposed to remind people of the way Nazis tattooed Jews during World War II.

“It was great,” recalled Norquist, who is close to House Speaker Newt Gingrich. “We had our guys walking around with tattoos on their arms. It drove Simpson nuts because the implication was he’s a Nazi.”

I told my husband that I am going to City Hall on Monday and re-registering as an Independent. I have had it with party politics and being ignored once we help elect these clowns. If they want my vote they are going to have to earn it. They figure if you are registered Republican you will vote Republican, and the dems do the same. I think dems ignore their base as much as pubbies ignore us. Enough of elitist politicians from both parties. I don't want to belong to either one.

Jubilant yesterday, Senators Mel Martinez (left), Lindsey O. Graham, and Edward M. Kennedy had spent hours in sometimes heated negotiations to craft a compromise bill on immigration. (CHIP SOMODEVILLA/GETTY IMAGES)

That is true. The problem with Mexican aliens is they so far outnumber any others that they have no reason to assimiliate. They can just build new Mexican villages here. This immigration bill is NOT the answer. I saw a post somewhere about the loopholes - one big one is trusting future Presidents and Congresses to enforce them. Fat chance when now millions and millions of illegals will be eligible to vote. This thing will ruin America like Europe is being ruined by their Muslim aliens. We will have a more diverse group, but who knows what will happen, except it will invite more aliens. Many more.
