HARARE (Reuters) - Zimbabwe's annual inflation jumped to a record 3,700 percent in April in a stark sign of the economic turmoil blamed on government policies that has left four in five people jobless.

"Good God! At this rate itll be as bad as Detroit in no time." Well, the same policies (nobody works) has worked wonders on the price of houses in Detroit...I read that you can get one for about the price of an automobile.

You have to wonder how the mortgage note holders here would react if 3000+% interest somehow managed to strike here. I do not wonder at all. The Federal Government would use you tax dollars to bail out the mortgage bankers and raise your taxes 9000%.
