Zimbabwe inflation hits 3,713.9 percent

HARARE (Reuters) - Zimbabwe's annual inflation jumped to a record 3,700 percent in April in a stark sign of the economic turmoil blamed on government policies that has left four in five people jobless.

Nah, back to basics. The USSR was the nation that signed up for the UN. Since they don’t exist anymore, too bad.

Putin is sort of bringing back the USSR, with the political imprisonings and assassinations and stuff.

Well, the same policies (nobody works) has worked wonders on the price of houses in Detroit...I read that you can get one for about the price of an automobile.

Not so bad if you have a job and want to get a 30 year fixed rate mortgage.

You have to wonder how the mortgage note holders here would react if 3000+% interest somehow managed to strike here.

I do not wonder at all. The Federal Government would use you tax dollars to bail out the mortgage bankers and raise your taxes 9000%.
