In my opinion Ron Paul cares more about the U.S. Constitution than anybody here. That makes him unpalatable to liberal Democrats, and now, to neo-conservative Republicans.

Belief in the constitution doesn’t excuse his flights of dingbat fantasy regarding islamofascism.

It is my understanding local conserative talk radio in Texas has turned on Ron Paul and are exposing his insane beliefs with the WOT. His chances at POTUS are zero and his days as a congressman appear to be numbered as well now.

FReepers don't care about the Constitution anymore they'd rather engage in groupthink and vote for the socialist who promises them the most goodies

well some people fear islamofascism more than fear itself, and are willing to trample on the constitution. I think far greater dangers can be found from our own government, like nearly 40% taxes we pay. Even in the case of islamofascism, IMO, and I’d think in Dr. Paul’s opinion too, almost all actions taken by government to ‘prevent’ ‘combat’ islamofacism result in the opposite of their intentions, like nearly everything government tries to do, the opposite occurs.

Isolationist, mind your own business approach increasingly seems like a good idea.

What a steaming pile.

He craps out on our troops while you spend time trying to cover for him and write excuses.

The guy is a total loser....as he will soon realize by the results of his presidential campaign.

Ron Paul is like all the rest of the pole cats in DC. His foremost object is to stay elected and dip in the gravy train every day. Like the rest he could care less about the welfare and security of the USA and its citizens.
The Pole cats in DC have proven they will lie, cheat, steal, and kill to get and remain elected on the national and state level.

I am freakin’ fed up with the absolute misrepresentation of what Dr. Paul said.

Those who say he said we deserved 9/11 are liars or stupid.

And how would you know how any of us support the Constitution? Pauls a loser and this election will prove it. No Libertarian will be President in your life time. (or ever)

Hey, A@@wipe, I’ve served in the US military protecting that Constitution and your rights for the past 26 years. I don’t need you or any other psychopathic Paul supporter telling me that my concern for the Constitution is less than some idiot who blames the US for the 9/11 attacks.

Go sell your B.S. to Rosie O’Donnell!

How is Ron Paul doing in the national polls. He doesn’t look or speak very well, even though what he says makes a lot of sense. Frankly, he is not electable, imo.

His notion that we are in the slightest to blame for 9/11 makes him unpalatable to me.

Well what did you expect? Watching clips of the media last night on the debate (I can only watch Fox so long before I get a headache), it was quite evident they were going to do any sort of hatchet job on Paul they could.

CNN may have made a mistake though (at least in the eyes of the establishment media). They allowed Paul to come on and explain his point clearly and succintly which he did. Anyone that's read document one from the government's own reporting has to side with Paul.

Course to do so would be to admit the annointed one may be wrong and I don't think Sean Hannity could actually muster up what it takes to be a man to admit that.

‘In my opinion Ron Paul cares more about the U.S. Constitution than anybody here. ‘

Everybody is entitled to their opinion. And I don’t doubt Ron Paul ‘cares about the Constitution’.

Doesn’t change the fact he sounds like a leftwingnut, Bush Derangement Syndrome, Kook.

Congressman Paul is a Libertarian, unless there is a GOP fundraiser that he will benefit from.

No, he cares about his interpretation of the Constitution, which is laughably wrong in several critical areas.

First of all, he demands a specific language for a declaration of war that is NOWHERE mandated in the Constitution itself. On the contrary, the language Congress used to authorize America's first foreign war (against the Barbary Pirates) was remarkably similar to the language used to authorize the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He also laughably refers to "letters of marque and reprisal" -- I say "laughably" because his little, isolationist head would explode if he actually stopped to realize that such instruments carry absolutely no meaning UNLESS BACKED BY "INTERNATIONAL LAW". They are ENTIRELY dependent on foreign governments recognizing their validity.

He's a blowhard, not a Constitutional scholar.
