Republican Presidential Candidate Debate #2 Columbia, South Carolina 05/15/07 - Official Discussion Thread
Watch live coverage of the First-in-the-South Republican Party Presidential Candidate debate on FOX News Channel and FOXNews.com on Tuesday, May 15, at 9 p.m. EDT (6 p.m. PDT).
I don’t just listen to my heart when I look at candidates. I also take the measure of their appeal to other voters.
There are a lot of ding bat women voters out there.
Good, because its obviously been manipulated by somebody, who knows who.
It is clearly nutso and waaaaaaaaaaaay over the top strange.
There are other political parties and I will vote that election.
ROFL! So, true!
I’m almost surprised the Ron Paul didn’t blame illegal drugs for causing 9/11. Libertarians, when it comes down to it, are utterly impossible to debate with. The madness spews. It’s very, very close to Marxist/Leninist/Chomsky mentality.
She says hes mean
I am a native of San Diego and Hunter is one of our 5 congressmen here.
The people who have voted for him over the past few decades
may have a different thought on that.
“There are other political parties and I will vote that election.”
Echos of 1992..
El Cajon is not the world.
No, average is probably the last word I could think of to desribe you, TN.
Many things, but none of them are average.
Good night all. I am well done.
cva66snipe has been around a lot longer than you, and is also quite obviously much more conservative than you. Ron Paul may be wrong on some issues, but overall he has a far better understanding of this countries roots, heritage, and the ideals of our founding fathers than all the rest of the suits combined. Ron Paul isn’t just memorizing the lines people want to hear, he is sincere. Right or wrong, he is saying what he believes in. Ron Paul has sponsored legislation to repeal all federal gun laws, stop all foreign aid, gut federal entitlement programs, eliminate productivity taxes, and on and on. He would do away with DHS, ATF, Dept of Education, Social Security, right on down the line. That is what this country needs. I won’t wrap myself in the flag like you did, but don’t give me your “I served to protect you” BS, because I served when you were in diapers. I and many Americans don’t need or want the government protecting us from any terrorists, because there is only one way they can— loss of the America I served for, loss of the freedoms I value, a policman in every house, and cameras on every street. And it’s still an illusion; you can’t stop an insane person from taking another life. I have enough sense to live in a rural area far away from any target areas, and have lots of supplies and armament to deal with any threat. Give me liberty or give me death; and I mean it.
>>By the way, Huckabee got an F.<<
Oh, no doubt. ;) But my post was loaded with a bit of sarcasm.
Re: those who would attack those who cut taxes, balance budgets, and have a workable solution to illegal immigration (i.e. those who attack Romney)
“Without the group Falwell help found there would have likely been no Rush Radio show as you know it”
Nooooooooooooo Not so
Conservatives found Rush with or without Falwell...
Actually I went hunting for him on the radio because I heard Tom Snyder bad mouthing Rush one night so I thought anyone Snyder hates I would love...
Geesh a lot of the reason this nation is in such a fouled up mess is people and their political party loyalties even over convictions and principles. I don't care what party Ron Paul is in. I vote for Individuals and not for any specific political party. Blind Party Loyalties are destroying this nation and are tools of tyrants to rule by voter fear.
I meant to say that all of the words I’d use would be good!
Sorry,
me pooped.
later.
Don’t worry. I’ll definitely vote for the one I want, not the MSM’s choice.
It was just my view that he seemed a long shot. Would be great if that changes. He’s my candidate so far, no doubt. Wish the rest of the country agreed with me.
Then maybe the GOP better start listening up and not run their biggest liberal yet again.
I’m pretty sure I understood you the first time. Although, the more you post, the murkier your intent becomes.
If Rudy uses that "they've called me the most conservative Mayor that New York has had in 50 years" line in the next debate, I would hope someone else on stage would have a snappy comeback.
Something along the lines of "Yeah, Rudy, but we're talking about New York City here. Anyone to the right to Karl Marx is conservative by NYC standards. Might as well argue Joe Stalin is he's the most pro-capitalist premier of the Soviet Union in 50 years"
