While writing this, I received a return phone call from the communications director for Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. She got back to me within five minutes of leaving the message.
Nicole Corcoran said that she was taken aback by my question. I had left the message that I am working on a freelance piece about the Sebelius/Dean/FreeRepublic/Quinn&Rose controversy. I wondered if her office would be willing to release the phone records for the time of the purported phone conversation with Dean.
Her initial comment was, "No one ever thought of that." As I pressed to see if she could get that done, she hesitated and flirted around the issue. The bottom line is that I suspect no phone records will be released. She commented that even if they were released, there would be people who wouldn't believe it and believe there was a secret backbone somewhere that wouldn't be revealed.
So, FReepers, there was the solution to solve it. If no call was made, it would seem that the Governor and Yeeeeeehaaaaaaa Howard Dean would be anxious to clear the record and press for FR and Quinn&Rose to acquiesce.
Will any of you be surprised if they refuse to release to phone records? Maybe they need time to sanitize them first.
(chuckle)
Something tells me the Governor wouldn’t have ‘gone there’ if she knew the controversy that would result.
Nice job.
I will be amazed if they release the phone records, especially since I suspect he called her cel from his cel. And how many cels do they each have?
Pass it on.
“And the batphone too, Ari!”

The Batphone is certainly appropriate for batty Howard Dean.
New use for disposable cell phones.
For Dean, it's the Moonbat Phone.
Look at the links in No. 6
I’m glad to see someone called them on it. I posted just such a suggestion the day after they claimed it was “demonstrably false”, so it appears we had the same thought. The same question can be posed to Dean. As I recall, it was him who claimed it could be proved false.
She is a woman, a place holder that got elected.
If you want a job done well, no place holders.....
ahhhhh, OK, now I get the connection.

STATEMENT OF KANSAS GOVERNOR KATHLEEN SEBELIUS ON THE QUINN & ROSE RADIO SHOW’S IRRESPONSIBLE “REPORTING” OF UTTERLY FALSE NATIONAL GUARD EQUIPMENT ALLEGATIONS
Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius issued the following statement on a false report aired May 10th on the Quinn & Rose show on XM radio regarding National Guard equipment allegations:
“I am outraged that the Quinn & Rose show has aired a report suggesting that my efforts to highlight the need to replace National Guard equipment lost in Iraq are inspired by anything other than my responsibilities as commander-in-chief of the Kansas National Guard. The accusation that I received a call from anyone, encouraging me to take on this issue following the devastating tornado in Greensburg, is one-hundred-percent false — period.
“To those who invented this story out of thin air, and anyone who would spread it, hear me carefully: I will not back down in my fight to provide for the men and women of the National Guard, and protect the people of Kansas. And making up stories like this, designed to turn the tragedy at Greensburg into some kind of political circus, is a shameful affront to the citizens of Greensburg and the citizen soldiers of the National Guard.”

Been there, done that. It is even in movies now. Still works if you pay cash for the phone and number. Just do not try to buy two hundred at once.
Thank you for putting the screws to the lefties, Doug.
Bottom line -— no one is going to be given access to phone records.
Here is the legally correct framework for a FOIA request.
