Doug:
STATEMENT OF KANSAS GOVERNOR KATHLEEN SEBELIUS ON THE QUINN & ROSE RADIO SHOW’S IRRESPONSIBLE “REPORTING” OF UTTERLY FALSE NATIONAL GUARD EQUIPMENT ALLEGATIONS
Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius issued the following statement on a false report aired May 10th on the Quinn & Rose show on XM radio regarding National Guard equipment allegations:
“I am outraged that the Quinn & Rose show has aired a report suggesting that my efforts to highlight the need to replace National Guard equipment lost in Iraq are inspired by anything other than my responsibilities as commander-in-chief of the Kansas National Guard. The accusation that I received a call from anyone, encouraging me to take on this issue following the devastating tornado in Greensburg, is one-hundred-percent false — period.
“To those who invented this story out of thin air, and anyone who would spread it, hear me carefully: I will not back down in my fight to provide for the men and women of the National Guard, and protect the people of Kansas. And making up stories like this, designed to turn the tragedy at Greensburg into some kind of political circus, is a shameful affront to the citizens of Greensburg and the citizen soldiers of the National Guard.”

“I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.”
This makes me think it might have been communicated to her by email.
“And making up stories like this, designed to turn the tragedy at Greensburg into some kind of political circus, is a shameful affront to the citizens of Greensburg and the citizen soldiers of the National Guard”
Then why’d you do it, Governor Sebelius?
Quinn and Rose were on this again today, and said that the lawyer letter is clear evidence that they hit a nerve, and that their source is 100% certain this call occurred. They have further noted that Brownback got involved (on the governor’s side) and that he is giving it new “legs” as well.
Then why did you politicize it in the first place with your misguided and inaccurate remark about the National Guard not being able to respond properly due to Iraq? That in itself was a shameful affront to the citizens of Greensburg.
PROJECTION!!
“And making up stories like this, designed to turn the tragedy at Greensburg into some kind of political circus, is a shameful affront to the citizens of Greensburg and the citizen soldiers of the National Guard.
Well Governor, that is exactly what you did, is to create a political circus with your false remarks about the ability of the national Guard to respond. Now that you have lied in this reply to Doug, how about a little honesty for once in your life?
