Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.
This week we take a look at one of the most famous Canteens of WWII.
*sigh*
vulagrity=vulgarity
Ms.B
Nana is much the same way.
You don’t need vulgarity to make a movie good.
Trouble is, it’s all Hollywood seems to think it has left.
Okay, it’s time to say goodnight. I tried to stay up for Ma, but she’s taking too long at the post office.
See everyone tomorrow some time.
LOL
True!
Me birthday is next month, so I know what to ask for.
Wouldn’t mind having “300” either, if it’s on DVD by then..
Ms.B
Nite Jinxy!
Sweet dreams and God Bless!
I ‘m not to far behind ya!
Ms.B
Now you know why I like these Korean dramas so much...no vulgarity. I can recommend a couple: Winter Sonata and Hotelier
Thanks!
I’ll keep that in mind!
and thanks for the great pics!
Goodnight Tamar!
Goodnight Ma!
Good night canteeners and Troops!
God Bless and keep you always!
Ms.B
I love reading about these canteens. You can cut the patriotism with a knife.
Sorry I took so long....at least 15 folks in front of me with the same idea....lots of flat rate boxes. We did get the old rate. The airport post office used to be open 24/7/365, just like The Canteen, but now closes from midnight to 6am.
Out past the city, it becomes a single lane each way, with a white line on the right hand edge. The first moose was bedded down not 5' beyond the line. About 50' further, the second was grazing even closer to the line. I slowed to a crawl because they are completely unpredictable....they just step out into traffic. Coming back I saw both again. I was on the phone with Grammie and yelled in her ear, "Moose Alert". LOL! And when I was almost to my neighborhood, another was grazing about 10' off the road on my side.
Good evening, Mooch....a time when everyone was pulling in the same direction and doing their part to help the United States win the war......sadly no more. Hope you didn’t have to work too hard this weekend.
A very pleasant good morning to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.
((HUGS))Good morning, Beach. How’s it going?
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...coffee is brewing. Hope you had a good day, free of odd weather.
Thank you for doing your part to help keep all of us free and safe.
How about a donut?
Coffee is always on........
Or a sandwich?
Good morning Kathy.
Morning coffee bump
Good morning, Everyone. Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families. THANK YOU for all you do.
DC Metroland weather report ~ Today.....Plenty of sunshine. High around 75F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. ~ Tonight.....Partly cloudy. Low around 55F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
Let me tell you, I slept with my window open just a little last night and I can remember waking up in the middle of the night shivering.
I had a nice day yesterday. Had coffee on the porch with my youngest and my husband while the sun came up. Got to iChat (video) with son, DIL and grandchildren first thing yesterday. Then went off to spend a couple hours at my parents. Dropped in on ex-FIL-MIL for a bit. Then went over to youngest's house so he could grill some steaks for dinner. He cooks a good steak.
And, the weather was Gor-ge-us!
Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
Now remember, the Canteen is
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM
DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

And, now for a public service announcement
Good morning and (((HUGS))) EG. Well, it’s Monday so all I can say is UGH!
How about you? What’s the plan for today?
