Being Jewish, I do not eat pork or shellfish because the Bible prohibits it, but, I don't feel compelled to make up excuses.

Those of you who enjoy pork, eat some barbequeue ribs tonight in honor of MoHAMmed.

We raised a pig some years ago. It was a little orphan female and it was in a pen behind the house. She used one corner of the pen to do her business, and the rest of her pen was clean. She was friendly and no worse than any other animal I've ever seen as far as gluttony goes. I just think that this article provides excuses for the Muslims and gives them a false basis for their teachings.

Acts Chapter 10:11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven

Heres an interesting comparason...

Look at the 1999 number of Trichinosis cases in these countrys...

Indonesia..( 10 cases )...Population 238 million.
USA.........( 12 cases )..Population 293 million.
No Difference.

Iran.........( 2 cases )...population 67 million.
England.......( 2 cases )...population 60 million.
No Difference!

Iraq.........( 1 case )...population 25 million.
Canada.......( 1 case )...population 32 Million.
No Difference!!!

It is all crap, because Trichinosis is also carried in sheep and goats. the disease is carried to man through (Under-cooked meat ) not the type of meat.

So this whole Article is Crap, and the Author is a Liar.
IMHO.

check www.wrongdiagnosis.com for the data.
it took me 5 minutes to expose this moron liar.

NIV Acts 10:9-17
9. About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.
10. He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
11. He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
12. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air.
13. Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
14. “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
15. The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
16. This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

Prohibitions on eating pork is one thing, but do they ezplain the ban on even being near it, or being offended by seeing it, or is that just more liberal hypersensitivity?

Its a clear instance of Judaism's influence upon Islam. Muslim dietary law is derived from Jewish Kashrut regulations.

Christians didn’t simply disregard the Jewish Scriptures with regard to the prohibition on eating pork. I suggest reading the following:

Acts 10:9—the remainder of the chapter
Romans ch. 14
Colossians ch. 2

In fact, many Christians abstain from the eating of pork for health reasons, but not as a religious mandate. No Bible-believing Christian believes that eating or not eating pork will affect, one way or another, ones access to God. Since Calvary, there is no religious exclusion of pork.

Many children’s homes and orphanages operated by Christian people keep pork out of the menus, and that for health reasons, not because the directors believe that the children would be affected spiritually by eating pork. When traveling, host families will sometimes serve pork (unconscious of the orphanage rules), and the children are not instructed to refuse the meal.

The late Lester Roloff, the founder of large children’s homes in southern Texas forbad pork, soft drinks, coffee and other things he believed were better left alone. Pork-eating Christians and their (mainly independent Baptist) churches were the principle supporters of Roloff’s homes. Roloff preached against pork on the radio as well as in the pulpits of churches that actually supported his work. But Brother Roloff never once suggested that the eternal destiny of a man’s soul, or a Christian’s access to God’s grace (Hebrews 414-16) was affected in the least by the eating of or abstaining from pork.

Bro. Rollof certainly never refused to sit next to a man who had a pork barbeque sandwich in his sack or in his hands. He would never sue in court; would never be offended by pork-eaters. It was simple to Brother Roloff. When you are caring for hundreds of young people, and you are responsible for their health, you restrict their diet for that purpose. The Roloff homes had/have large farms. The young people fish on the inter coastal waterway for their own fish.

When I was a small boy, I suffered from boils. Our family doctor, a Christian, not a Jew or a Muslim, instructed my parents to take pork out of my diet. They did. The boils stopped occurring. I do occasionally enjoy pork now (51 years old), and I don’t get boils.

When I pastored a church in the Philippines, a man wanted to give lessons on health to our people. He was a strict vegetarian. I told him, that’s fine . . . teach HEALTH, NOT DOCTRINE. He could freely teach what he believed to be good for folks to eat. I told him that the moment he began telling or implying that people were either good or bad Christians based on their abstaining from meats, etc., then I would stop him.

The Koran was written by using bits and pieces extrapolated from the Bible and by using perverted ideas from a warped mind. I'll never understand why Muslims obey the Koran by eating no pork, but they ignore every other Commandment! It's OK for them to rape, to be a homosexual, to murder, to steal, and it's OK for them to get drunk, but oh-no, they can't eat pork. LOL ISLAM is a cult!!

In days of old, people weren't supposed to eat pork because it wasn't safe. Now it is, just like shell fish is. Eating pork or shell fish is one of the lesser things people need to worry about. God is more interested in what comes out of our mouth than what we put into it. He cares more about the condition of our heart.

“The pig is a scavenger. It is an omnivorous animal. It eats everything.”
.
Pig, n. An animal (Porcus omnivorus) closely allied to the human race by the splendor and vivacity of its appetite, which, however, is inferior in scope, for it sticks at pig.

— Ambrose Bierce, The Devil’s Dictionary.

.

“Think, my pet; to make that bacon, a poor little pig had to be killed. To be killed, Sylvia. Think of that. A poor innocent little pig that hadn’t done anyone any harm.”

”But I hate pigs,” cried Sylvia. Her sullenness flared up into sudden ferocity; her eyes, that had been fixed and glassy with a dull resentment, darkly flashed. “I hate them, hate them, hate them.”

”Quite right,” said Aunt Judith, who had come in most inopportunely in the middle of the lecture. “Quite right. Pigs are disgusting. That’s why people called them pigs.”

— Aldous Huxley, The Claxtons.

Islam is a conglomeration of several different religions of the region at the time of Mohammed. I think the no-pork rule, ironically, was lifted from Judaism. Maybe Mohammed noticed that Jews didn’t get the diseases the other folks got from eating pork products, and figured it was a good idea all around. The idea certainly wasn’t any brainstorm of his.
