We raised a pig some years ago. It was a little orphan female and it was in a pen behind the house. She used one corner of the pen to do her business, and the rest of her pen was clean. She was friendly and no worse than any other animal I've ever seen as far as gluttony goes. I just think that this article provides excuses for the Muslims and gives them a false basis for their teachings.

Its the fact that pigs and boars do not sweat and cannot cool by panting that makes them seem so dirty, they will walllow in mud baths to stay cool. However, if given a choice of cool clean water they actually prefer that. Pigs will eat as much as you can feed them without their stomach's bursting, however, the same can be said of dogs and cats.

The last pigs we raised (3) went everywhere and due to the heavy rains mixed it into a fine ooze in the outside pen. They also bit me more than once, but they made up for it when we ate the most delicious ham, bacon, chops and baby back ribs to die for.
