“Neither President Bush nor VP Chaney ever said otherwise.”

But that hasn’t stopped the DBM and the Democrat Party from “factually” stating otherwise.

I’ve never seen Amy Holmes before, but I like how she speaks, - thoughtful, informed and assertive without being aggressive. She is a good spokesman for conservative issues.

The lefty’s remarks about conservative Christians were very instructive:

1) CCs look at every political issue from their values. [Wow! Who would have thought that?] Therefore they are inserting religion into politics.
2) Liberals do not look at everything from Christian values, therefore liberal perspectives are the only ones allowed in the political arena.

I think John Boehner is doing extremely well this morning. Comes across as having common sense and speaking plainly. “If you aren’t going to fight al-Qaida in Iraq, where are you going to confront them?”

He also pointed out that, as a small business owner, he had benchmarks each month but that he didn’t shut down the business if he didn’t meet this goal or that. He tried to fix the problem.

Wonder, considering how the US Congress has done NOTHING for the last 6 months, if Shay’s is willing to apply the exact same standard to himself and his colleagues?

But of course not. Just another bit of stupid demagoguery flung forth by the DC Political noise machine

And thank you kindly for thata.

My “I try harder” snark was an attempt at a below the radar joke about what I had gotten. I always get so embarrassed, but I do appreciate the honor and, again, thanks.

Even though Iraq had links to Al Qaida that have been proven. Neither President Bush nor VP Chaney ever said otherwise.

Well, if you listen to the potato head, you would believe exactly the contrary. Only a person with no character would lie the way that man did today.

I am enjoying watching Kristol go after Matthews. Juan thinks the Republicans chose to talk about the topics when it was Matthews choosing the topics.

So in essence many of the political appointments were accepted as govt. career employees with all the accompanying protections is what you are saying.

I get it, but I still wonder if there were individuals at posts in various govt. offices not to the liking of the President if he didn't have different ways of transferring them or making it so uncomfortable for them they would quit on their own.

In other words it seems reasonable to assume that if the President really wanted to get rid of someone in his govt. he might have a pretty good chance of doing so.

Bubba seemed to be able to pick and choose just about anyone he wanted.

This is your area I realize Kabar, so if I am President and want to get rid of someone, how do I go about it?

*taps microphone*...ahem!

Just a reminder from the Conservative Movement of Ronaldus Magnus & Goldwater:

“Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.” - Barry Goldwater

Thank you...that is all. Democrats and members of the DBM...feel free to navel gaze while you try to figure that one out.

I also think that a lot of the career people that got put into positions of power during the Clinton years were the overtly partisan ones, willing to “kiss Clinton’s ring” and make clear that they’re loyalty was to the Clintonistas and not to the country. From contacts I have who left both organizations in the 90s I know this to be the case in both the CIA and Pentagon.

The Clinton political appointees sought out and rewarded loyal bureaucrats. They stayed loyal to Billary even as career employees after the Clinton’s left office and have been waging a war against the Bush White House from day one.

The shadow government.
