Oh... and you’re number 1, by the by.
congrats. But I try harder.... ;^>
“The DBM needs to remember that W IS the CinC, not Congress.”
But the problem is the fact that Congress doesn’t know they aren’t the CinC.
The DBM will carry their water and make the people believe that the Congress has the right to decide who and where the troops will fight because it fits their anti-Military...anti-W template and bias’.
It really isn't worth it. More so today than usual.
I can believe Tenet on this one. Im sure Clinton didn’t want to know about such things so Tenet didn’t talk about them, and then he carried over that behavior to President Bush. If so, Tenet blundered. It is further sad that he puts blame on Bush for things that can be attributed to Clinton.
Have you noticed that the same ones that claim the surge isn’t working...even though it is and it’s not even at fuill strength yet...are the same ones who didn’ts eem to have time for a sit down with Gen. Petraeus when he was in D.C.?
What we saw in that is a bunch of adults sticking their fingers in their ears and going “lalalalalala”.
Even my 9 y/o son doesn’t behave in such a childish manner.
Dodd just shrugs off the implications of the Zawahiri tape. I don’t think that many Americans will do that.
Regretfully, there is NONE.
Remember these are the same lunatic fringe that showed up at the 09-11 Memorials with signs about how we had asked for it and we deserved 09-11.
All the Democrats ranting about Afghanistan is just a sleazy PR doge. Kerry is the ONLY one who ever admit the truth. As far as the Democrats are concerned Terrorism should be treated as a law enforcement problem NOT as a National Security issue at all. The dirty deep dark secret Democrats will never admit is they really believe there is NEVER any reason for the US Military to ever be used for anything that might remotely be actually IN US National Interests.
“Dodd just shrugs off the implications of the Zawahiri tape.”
A pre-9/11 Mentality on a post 9/11 world.
No wonder they think nothing will happen to us if we just give up in Iraq.
This is a myth that keeps getting repeated. All political appointees must submit their resignations when a new President comes into office. This includes career personnel who are occupying political appointee jobs as listed in the Plum Book. Comparing the Plum books for 1996, 2000 and 2004 shows no significant holdover of personnel. Note that the CIA only has 8 political appointee jobs, some of them filled by career personnel.
The only way so-called Clintonistas could stay on would be for them to move into career positions by becoming civil service employees. There were a few, but not many as the GAO Report details.
Dodd and all the rest of them just continue to pretend there has been no change in what we are doing in Iraq and no one challenges them on it.
Dodd just looks evil (check out the eyes) and Chris Wallace has a weak and unattractive mouth. (My snark of the day.)
ABC and Brian Ross getting hit pretty hard on Reliable Sources for promoting the Madam story as breaking, salicious, etc., and then didn’t name any names. In fact, Brian Ross promoted false stories....saying one was a CEO (who was not), one was a White House analyst (who was not), etc. ABC credibility getting hit hard by the whole panel.
Funny how the Americans have all these absurd expectations about the Iraqis that their own leadership could never ever measure up to.
Considering the Iraqis are doing the bulk of the fighting, and dying in Iraq, it might behoove Americans, especially American Politicans, to be a whole LOT less arrogant.

FoxNews: Iraqi Government wants to take a 2-month summer recess.
Rep Shays is irate, says that as long as US forces are still there, the Iraqi Government should refrain from taking vacation.
Dodd says we should get out of Iraq and go to where al-Qaida is really a threat, Afganistan. I cannot believe I am hearing this. For a moment there I even think Dodd realized how stupid he sounded. But he plowed ahead anyway.
Good, irritated with the rabid stupity of the DC Media-Political complex but ok otherwise. Got to go. Lunch break is over. Talk to ya all in a bit.
